Well, you can't. However, I wouldn't worry about posting opinions about our coaches or the redundant complaints by those doing so. These posts are just as redundant and aggravating. No one should refrain from posting their opinions about our team, within guidelines, regardless of how some complain about it. It's as much your board as theirs. If they don't like what you post, they can ignore you or move along to the next post. JMO>

Great Coach...4 STRAIGHT Super Bowls! And he had his teams prepared! It's well documented that he lost 2 with the " wide right "...

I consider that a Dynasty! Are you asking me this because they lost? Because there's no comparison!

I was just trying to gage where you ranked success before tipping to failure. I find that Levy is always a good indicator because he had a great team that won 4 straight AFC championships but he was also responsible for coaching 4 straight SB loses so its a good starting point because a case can be made for both. Andy Reid is another because he had great success in Philly upto a certain point then he would choke so I try to see where ppl rank the two when coaching discussions happen.

I think only the first loss was close. The next three they pretty much got their ass handed to them. Not sure and to lazy to look up.

Not taking anyone’s side, but it DOES get tiresome. I’m all for skipping threads not of interest, but it’s hard to “just don’t read it” when it’s a threadjack.

No problem and I respect your position. For me, this is purely an entertainment only thing that I do to fill in time gaps when I have some. Yes, there are repetitive and nonsensical posts at times, but it's just entertainment and I don't take anything seriously. But that's just me. I'd rather see members who want to express themselves, which is why they joined TSF, then not because of fear or intimidation for doing so. In the end, we're all Steelers fans, but not all fans are alike. JMO>

I’ve asked those who say just don’t read it how you know it wasn’t worth reading until you have read it

Not one has actually had an intelligent response

Way back in the BBS days, threadjacking was anti rules for posting and we strictly enforced it (the OP took some charge in reporting threadjacking). That at least did some to keep the discussions on topic *and* people wouldn't feed the jackers (there were no facepalms emoticons... so emoticon responses wouldn't extend threads).

IMO, depending on the type of "threadjacking"(why does that term sound dirty?), sometimes those threads are the most entertaining. The ones that delve into other topics like cars, food, beer, etc. I don't necessarily come to this site just to be entertained but moreover to be informed by people more knowledgeable than myself. This is a social media site and I'm a social person.

I’m on a car board that’s militant about staying on-topic. ‘Jackers are openly admonished, and threads sometimes locked, when they drift.

I like the more relaxed atmosphere here. :drinks:

I don't disagree with that assessment of Levy. I'm not sure about 'had his teams prepared' - for them to have the greatest comeback of all time against Houston in 92 they still had to go down 32 points to start... likewise the 1991 superbowl where they didn't score in the first half. And was it 92 when Thurman Thomas forgot his helmet?

Still, it was a great team and a great coach. Just a shame the NFC was so dominant in the late 80s/90s.
