I think it would be pretty cool if the Steelers could end up with the Old Miss QB Kelly in the 2017 Draft.

He is Former Buffalo Bills Great, and Pennsylvania Kid, Jim Kelly's nephew.

    The kid got game.

I think its time to find Ben's protege, and next year has some good QB's.

Mayfield and Watson will be gone, but Guys like Kelly, Mahones, Rudolph and Russell shoud be there, and any of them should work.

    Personally I would steer clear.

2018 will be a much better year, Josh Rosen being the banner man.

Kelly is a gunslinger who throws too many ints, not interested in him at all. Mayfield won't be a high draft pick he's undersized, Mahones is good but you have to worry about these spread QBs transitioning to the NFL game.

I have mentioned him for these reasons, He is tough. I will have to study the QB position more. He maybe available when we pick? Getting a QB will be tough but it must be a high priority for the Steelers. There out there, the scouts have to find them.

    Mitch Trubisky UNC Jr
he will most likely be in the Heisman discussion next year
so he might be an early pick but
the Steelers should have a Super Bowl hangover from winning back to back

Dar, Can he make all the throws? What are his measurables? Is he tough? Can he read defenses quickly? Has he ever played in cold weather? Is he accurate with his throws?
Is he durable, injury prone? These are some of the traits I will be looking at when evaluating the QB position.

    highest comp percentage in ncaa
from mentor ohio guess its cold there lol not sure if he's a browns fan but hey Cowher played for them
sure Landry Jones was a cowboy fan growing up as was his father hence the name Landry.
    makes some really nice throws
he should stay next year at UNC because he really is enjoying school
he's tough hadn't seem him injured
definite gamer probably the best the school has ever had at that position
he is missing half the starting oline and seems to make great decisions
runs a great hurry up no huddle

a good ohio boy. there is one at ohio state too if urban would play him. maybe we wait for him. oh he's also an ohio boy. seriously the kid from unc is pretty decent and so is the backup at OSU. the class coming out this year i think is sub par though as a whole. i wouldn't go early in this one.

Yes I watched him pick apart Pitt(But who doesn't) I was glad to hear he was from Mentor Ohio. He would know how to play in cold weather.
We need to pick our heir apparent to Ben quickly. If I am the Rooney's, I would have my scouts beating the bushes watching the tape talking
to people. It is that important. Find him he is out there.

I saw one yesterday (NW QB) Mac against your very talented Buckeyes, I would like to see more of him.I am going to follow him and look for the traits I am looking for in a QB. There out there you have to find them. I don't want to force one, I feel the timing is right for one.

there are a couple but i think this coming draft is pretty weak. thats what i mean by forcing one. the worst thing we can do is to draft one in a year that doesn't have a draft worthy guy. yes the NW qb is pretty solid and so is the kid from UNC.

Kelly just blew out his ACL, so he is gonna be a reach.

But Baylor is at Oklahoma this saturday on ESPN2, and I like Russell at Baylor, and Mayfield at Oklahoma. That should be the game of the week.

California is at Washington St. and the scouts like the California kid a lot, but I like Falk at WSU, should be a real good QB show.

No to Kelly. We don't need some dude who is trying to slide his way into porn star's DM's quarterbacking our team.

and tries to fight H.S. kids when he's in college...he just shot up the Browns draft board. Manziel's legacy isn't going to replace itself.

Although Chad Kelly is good, he is a BUM. The man can't stay out of trouble. Many people don't know this, but he was dismissed from Clemson's football program for not following team policies. He threatened to "come back with an AK47 and shoot a bouncer" who did not let him into a bar. In his little brothers HS football game earlier this year he charged the field and tried to beat up a kid that took a cheap shot on his brother. I know he was trying to protect him, but that is not how you take care of it. Kid sounds like a bum and a distraction to me. Steelers don't need that.

    Kelly is a head case:

    Scouting report walter football:
Overall, Kelly's performances this season confirm his gun-slinger style of play. He has the arm to make any throw, but could stand to get more consistent in his field vision, accuracy and decision-making. While Kelly can't be blamed for his defense struggling in allowing comebacks to Florida State and Alabama, Kelly doesn't show the leadership and intangibles to push his team to tough victories. He doesn't have a killer instinct and gets rattled by pressure; both the physical pass rush and the mental/emotional pressure of critical moments in big games.

Kelly also needs to check his ego and clean up his off-the-field issues, too. He has had problems such as yelling at Clemson fans - while a Clemson student - in the stadium parking lot after a fender bender, getting arrested for a bar fight that involved threatening a mass shooting, running onto the field at his brother's high school game, trash-talking teammates on twitter, pursuing porn stars on twitter, creating a self-loving rap song; the list goes on with "Swag" Kelly. Being the nephew of Jim Kelly seems to have created an "Affluenza" quarterback.
