i wouldn't change a thing right now at QB. we have 3 guys we could win with. it's a long season. get the line playing better going forward (which i think they will) and realistically you could put any of the 3 QB's on a short leash. not that they will but they are all very close. kenny will be the only long term guy because of contract, but fir this year he stays close but at 3 right now. i'd enter this season pretty confident in that room for now. why change? we don't have that much tied up in them by NFL standards. ride the 3 horse's. we have good saddle's, new shoes and plenty of food for them and it's not costing us much to keep them.

I was encouraged that we didn’t throw 5+ WR screens regardless of who was QB!!!

Conflicting reports that it may have been Trubisky that threw the pick.

    Drill #2: Shell Drill
Once the Straight Line drill is down pat, the Shell Drill will bring together those concepts in a whole team environment.

When the team comes together for full team drills -- i.e. with a full defense and a full offense -- you can step it up to the Shell Drill.

In this drill, you can either run a full offensive team and a full defensive team, or you can put in trash cans or dummy bags to represent the offensive line.

The latter is a good option if you want to cut down on the contact in practice.

Not really Steeler related , but maybe a knock on the staff.. Dobbs looked really good in his Browns debut 10 of 13 and a TD , he may just win the starting gig with Watson out . Most of you guys know I have always been a Dobbs over Mason guy ..

If he keeps impressing he just may be the starter out of the gate.

C'mon...He played against 3rd stringers, and didn't throw the ball over 5 yards...

Would you rather he’d stink it up? Would that be better?

He can’t control who he plays against, all he can do is make sure he shows out when he does.

I also read that Seattle left some starters in.

He also has been getting better and better in practice, getting reps with 2nd team and maybe even some 1st team reps.

By all accounts, Dobbs is a nice guy and very intelligent but starting caliber NFL QB he is not. Neither is Rudolph so liking Dobbs over Rudolph ain't saying much.

I'm taking disco's comment more like, let's slow the roll a little until we see him perform like that against legit NFL defenses and not future grocery baggers and insurance salesmen.

No, I'm ecstatic he's doing well...Way better than the alternative...And I can hardly believe Seattle would have any starters in, in the 2nd half of a preseason game...Every team...Every preseason game...Plays the starters a couple series, a quarter tops!

Yes, sorry no disrespect... We're ALL hoping Pickett is the real deal...But they really condensed ( by little 5 yards passes ) the Offense...Which is also great, and what they should have done! Build confidence, quick rhythm passes where there's not much risk...

They weren't gonna have him in 5 wide, slinging it down field...But.... eventually.... We'll have to see THAT, Because that is part of it and, You can't keep the kid gloves ( literally and figuratively) on forever :roflmao:

Dobbs is not terrible , he is just not a pocket passer type of QB .. We will see if he continues to look better in a system that fits him better..I think he will be QB 1 until Watson gets back..

Last I checked we're all grocery baggers by stores forcing the self check outs lanes. Problem is since I have no training I guess I'll accidently scan every 4th item and walk away. They can catch up with me in the parking lot and return all those unscanned items if they feel it necessary.

One of the things I like best about Pickett is he has a really nice touch on the ball. The other thing he has going for him is between the ears. He’s progressing nicely and alleviating some of my concerns, like reports about him having some of his best practices in the rain.

You have to keep those secret plays until the regular season. Don't reveal to much you know. Lol
