You are mistaken. There isn’t a single person out there that called him pro ready/a week 1 starter. He was the most pro ready of the available and still has work to do.

I’m betting he spends a lot of time talking to himself and screaming at the television.

He may have the strongest arm but isn't accurate. Add to that he is always about a half second behind. Then when you look at his lack of poise and awareness in the pocket, it all adds up to not a starter.

Mitch didn't have them either...And played against the 1st team D, and threw the ball over 5 yards...Goes both ways

i agree. vaughn and robinson gave him a couple of gifts. not bad for all 3 though. game 2 of preseason has a way of bringing everybody back to earth. we shall see. arrow is pointing up for the team but it's going to take time. in picketts defense, he was playing with guys that may not be employed down the road either. does work both ways.

I'm certainly not appointing him anything. But he did play against Seattle's #2 pick in Kefe, whom had a great game in his own right.

All three QBs played well. Trubisky played well enough to not lose his spot. Mason played well enough to be named starter, but not necessarily overtake Trubisky on the depth chart. If anything we will have the same outcome on week 1 if it was a coin toss between the two. Kenny Pickett gave confidence of why he was selected. While I am not sure I would name him starter yet, I am excited about his potential as the franchise QB.

When Pittsburgh moved up to get Mason, it was said at the time they did so to move ahead of the Patriots who had him on their board.

No matter the size of Kenny’s hands we can all agree he gave us a happy ending with that game winning drive.

What You said about Mason....if You really think about it .....We might be saying about Trubisky if He played longer. His 1st drive was pretty good, but after that .....same as with Mason. I really really ask everyone 2 go watch all the Qbs eyes on a replay of the game. That will come into play in the regular season....no matter who's playing Qb.

I have repeatedly tried telling people this, and after a Qb learns better 2 read ,and see the field then role outs are only used for change ups ,and tricks. That is why it's used so heavily in High school, and college.....when Qbs don't have that experience. It also allows the D 2 cut half the field a majority of the time.

I think He's like 10.....so what do You expect. He says things like a preteen that just played their 1st Madden full season, and thinks they now know football. LoL

Pickett had that cool poise in his first preseason game in which Mason has lacked in 4+ years lol. That’s because I’m rooting for Mason

You know what people forget? If you took any starting QB in the NFL and parsed his whole game…every little twitch he made…you could find something bad about 98.9% of QB’s in any given game. This over-analysis is ridiculous.

Mason made the toughest throws, & some very dangerous ones... they all played well...
