Free agent P Brian Moorman visited the Steelers on Monday.
Moorman, 37, kicked in 15 games for the Bills and Cowboys last season, but he finished No. 27 in the league with his 37.6 net average. The Steelers' incumbent punter, Drew Butler, finished 25th at 37.8. Apr 29 - 6:44 PM

A 37 year old? Surely there has to be better prospects out there than him!

 

He'll be camp competition, nothing more. Butler looked good in preseason last year, but once the season started not so hot... If it's a close competition though the edge goes to the young guy.

But as stated, he most likely won't win the competition.

 

I remember how excited everyone was when the Steelers signed Sepulveda. Now it's Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..............
In other words, Its difficult to get too excited about a kicker any time soon.

There were only 7 punters in the NFL last season with a worse Net punt average than Butler... and Mooreman was one of them.

He got the vet minimum with no guaranteed money, so meh, whatever.
