Even though he played with three average QBs this season, he led the league in YPC at 18.1, the first Steelers player to do it since Mike Wallace in 2009.

1100 yards on 60 receptions is mind blowing.

Imagine what he could do if he focused

If he focused and worked as hard as AB he could be great

DJ and Pickens are a frightening 1/2 combo. There's as much talent there as there is lack of maturity.

I'm not sure that it is a lack of focus, but an inability to positively handle his emotions. He was clearly frustrated that his QB was pretty much garbage all year, but he needs to find a more mature/constructive way to deal with his frustrations and not let them overflow on the sidelines/field.

I think the kid might actually work hard, I cant really tell since I dont watch them practice... He has a fire and desire to be great too. Just needs to learn to reign that in positively.

Average QB is too generous. Imagine what might be if we had a top 10 QB.

I`m pretty sure I remember checking for QBR ratings for this season and only two were worse than Kenny.

George is one of the most elite talents I have ever seen at WR. Freakish combination of size, speed, hands, body control. Thinks he can be the best in the league, and I agree he has the talent. With a good QB, and some attitude adjustment, this guy could truly be a top 5 receiver in the league. Trading him would be stupid; they need to find someone that can feed him over and over.

I mean Robinson was key in the run game and blocking in the passing game. Just doing the dirty work.

I understand Pickens frustration with Pickett and Trubisky. That doesn’t excuse his behavior and lack of effort on the field. He was a different guy with Rudolph throwing him the ball though. Rudolph had the arm talent and pocket patience to complement a receiver like GP. When Kid Gloves Kenny was throwing him the ball, Pickens would often break open just in time to see Pickett doing that cool spin to his left into DE pressure out of a clean pocket. That had to be so frustrating so I get where he was coming from. Hopefully, he’ll continue to mature and work on rounding out his game. If he does that, he can be a special talent.

Yes, the immediate calls for cutting him are pretty silly. Granted when they made the trade they got the back end of that contract and even then I thought it would need to be restructured to keep him around, but if I'm Omar I try and get it done simply because he seems to bring vet stability to the locker room and those things you mentioned on the field.

Imagine what he could do with a competent quarterback who has patience in the pocket and great arm talent throwing him the football. Rudolph gave us a little taste of that and it’s encouraging. AB had Ben. It always helps when you’ve got a guy that knows how to get you the football.

Agreed, Pickens 'aint the problem. never was. He's now worse than 50 other WR's in the league, it's a diva position, not saying he's an angel, but there's a hell a lot of mitigating circumstances around some of his behaviour and at least he's got other-worldly talent and deserves to be in the league whereas his OC definitely did not. Get rid of those who aren't good around him.

I'm not a fan of Pickens antics when he gets frustrated, like running half-assed routes or not blocking.
