    On the Steelers proposal, how in the world do you enforce it?

    Only the Jets... more rewards for losing franchises;

    First, I recommend moving the kickoff line back five yards to its previous location. The current frequency of touchbacks has reduced the impact of special teams and made this phase of the game less engaging. Reverting to the previous distance would encourage more returns, potentially increasing scoring and the "big plays" and " big hits " that fans enjoy. Touchbacks are boring!

    Second, I suggest allowing players to swat field goals at the crossbar, a practice the NFL banned years ago. This would add a unique layer of strategy and excitement, particularly on long field goal attempts where kicks barely clear the bar. Anyhing to make it hader on the kicker, right?

    Finally, I would like to see the return of "00" jerseys for players.

    This.

    Incentivizing tanking (more than we already do) is a good way to get a crappy product. Especially past the 3/4 mark of the season or so.

    I'd be fine with the Browns proposal, but I'd imagine picks 6+ years away aren't worth much / anything.

    I suppose with our proposal, it's just formal stuff that can be tracked. If it's just being extended, sounds like the league is already doing it.

    Didn't the NFL change the kickoff rules to avoid big hits? I think they're willing to settle for boring if it means less CTE.

    I’m guessing you are too young to remember why this rule was changed and why it’s not changing back

    and on a side note: the browns and jets are proposing a new rule change that would let them have the pick of one player off of whichever team they want every year. i look for this one to fail. :smiley1::cool:

    Now I've heard everything!

    Maybe the Steelers should have asked for two second round comp picks for any team having a head coach that has been in the position with the same team for more than ten years.

    Ravens have proposed a rule to screw over other players in free agency and blame those players and that they should not be investigated.
