The slide has begun. Assuming it’s not a smoke screen. I dont think it is.

Hope we pass on him, he’s got major issues. I’m afraid though that Tomlin will think he can get his head right. Hope so if we end up with him.

The knock I had heard on him already was that he is a guy who loves competing on game day, but doesn’t put in the work in practice and the off-season. Just a guy who is able to do what he does based on natural talent. I wouldn’t touch him at #17, but there is a point where the risk is worth taking. Is it pick 32? Pick 49? I don’t know.

Thats fair but man if you can’t get it together for the biggest day of your life, it’s a big risk.

Plus we all know it takes hard work to make it in the pros, can’t coast on talent alone.

49 you’d have to start thinking about it and later than that I suppose you have to based on talent.

I don’t know. I get Albert Haynesworth vibes from him. He may be a good player on Sundays for 4 years, but disappear after he gets his 2nd contract.

His life has probably been a disaster since the car crash.

Hopefully the Steelers can find out where his mind is at, as this could turn into a hole Stephon Tuitt thing where he just loses the will to play.

Even though he's a headcase, I don't see him falling out of the first round.

If He's there at 49....You have to take the risk. Not before that though. His natural talent is worth 49th.

Izzy Abankanda made himself some serious money for a rb at his Pitt pro day.

Abanikanda's running style is a lot like Jalen Warren. No dancing or messing around, he just gets the ball and explodes into the line. He's built like Warren too at 5'10" and weighing 216. If Bennie Snell isn't brought back then Abanikanda would be a good value in the 4th round.

They have too many needs to draft an RB in the 4th round, McFarland is still under contract to the team.

IMO....I agree, but I feel that way about TE, Wr, and RB for this draft. Any of them before the 4th I would be disappointed. Doesn't mean they wouldn't be good, and I wouldn't root for them, but I'd be disappointed.

if they decide to, which it looks like they are planning on doing, relying on the run game as heavy as it sounds, a good blocking TE and RB depth will be needed. probably not in the first 4 for a RB, but for a well rounded TE possibly. many of the TE's in this draft are good receiving TE's, but only a handful are really good run blockers and receiving TE's. if you want one you better get one early. they can be a young QB's best friend. they can also be huge in the run game.

I wouldn't be disappointed at all if they took JSN if he fell to #32, or Darnell Washington in the second round, if you are thinking they will draft all defense with the first four picks isn't going to happen IMO.

I didn't say that....I said Wr, RB, and TE would be a waste in the first four picks. There are other positions on offense besides those.

Khan said last week they would be looking at slot receivers in the draft, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took one in the first four picks.

What are you talking about? Austin has been at several Pro Days this year.

The fact that Matt Canada has not been seen anywhere with the Steeler staff is something big to wonder about.
