PRESEASON Week One vs. Houston Texans

Tomlin is allergic to going on fourth down(and 3), down 14-0 and in Houston territory, even in the preseason.

 

I sure hope this stupidity doesn't carry over into the regular season......

 

Going for it on fourth down didn't work out too good on the goal line with Allen at QB.

 

With a vanilla playbook and very few starters playing, the most you hope for is clean play from your 2nd string. This game has been anything but. Get these mistakes out of the way in preseason.

So, the real question is: will the Steelers come out strong in the regular season and then quickly fall apart mid to late season, or will they stink it up and then light it up when it won't matter, thus depriving the team of what could have been another high draft pick? Because those are pretty much the only two options with Tomlin at HC.

I'm not going to go crazy worrying about that yet. The Steelers are still figuring out how far along the rookies are. Let's not forget Seumalo is out tonight. Fautanu is going to be brought along slowly. Same goes for Frazier. Next week will be a much better indicator of where the line is.

Pass coverage has been garbage
