Running my own business
Keep my earnings as a partner
To under 25k

The right decision for my wife
To short her of my ss

I’m so close to retiring
But
Still seems so far
Don’t need to make a mistake now
Life is difficult
To say the least

 

Not sure my body is going to hold up until I am 67
Sometimes everything hurts

Retirement has been on my mind this year a lot.

Getting old in a tech field. Pretty sure I would have major difficulty in getting another job as I'm working on AI to currently take away my job.

Can't stand my job or people anyway and I know its taking a toll on my health. And like you said don't know how long my go years will be but my girl has health issues and feel like we have got to enjoy our time sooner or later. Otherwise why I have worked so hard?

 

Gotta say... I hate that a majority #1's didn't play at all tonight. They are going to be shaking off a lot of rust in week 1.

 

I thought it was just me not liking people
I am leaning towards my old age and lack of patience with people
Life is full of difficult decisions

Started this cleaning business 3 yrs ago
This is the hardest I have worked in 30 years
Unlike when I was younger, the body got used to it, now it just hurts
Couple of options
Find an easier job
But
Have to put up with other humans
Or
What I already put into motion
Getting rid of the hard jobs
And
Keeping the easy ones

Nope I have read the older you get the less crap you put up with and seems to be true. I can feel how much more people irritate me now vs before.

But yeah I feel your decision now. I'm just letting AI take mine away and hope for a good severance.

Oh yeah I'm 55 and yes very well aware of the rule of 55. Fortunately I still have my health and have worked hard on staying healthy the past couple of years.

I see my friends who are not healthy and have been to a few too many funerals in the past 3 years so my perspectives have been at the forefront on my mind.

That will be added monthly income for the rest of me and wifes life on top of SS
