He's been more accurate and composed than I thought he'd be from the scouting reports too.

 

Allar had him. Too far out.

 

I don't know they keep trying to throw it deep on third downs with these scrub receivers.

If Allar would have skipped his senior year and come out early, he probably would have gone high in the first round. The injury and the James Franklin debacle sent him to the 3rd round.

 

Fortunately, mascots generally don't talk very much.

 

That was too low. There was no need to throw it low. Didn't get it done under pressure.

 

If you remember what I stated about him, his mechanics and footwork needed work. Serious work. He is still a work in progress but much of the major foundation is already there; talent and potential notwithstanding.


Allar has the tools and traits. He needs to put it together.

The crazy thing is I was all Howard before the preseason, and then after watching them both together game after game its hard to not see the obvious difference

I can see that.
Its crazy as I said already, but I was all Howard, and down on Allar until I watched them both together in these 3 preseason games. Now Im all Allar, and not sure Howard can even be a backup in the NFL. We shall see.

 

53 needs to know who's in his zone. He released that guy and he didnt get picked up by the two guys behind him and the receiver just sits down in the zone and gets the 1st.

Allar continues to make James Franklin look incompetent. This staff has done a great job with him thus far.

 

It's preseason. They do that in the regular season, I won't like it either.
