The knock on Howard is that he doesn’t have an nfl arm. He looked good but none of the throws required arm strength and success was due to play design. I want to see throws to the sideline on out patterns where arm strength is needed

 

Up to 8 penalties. At this point, might be 14 before the end of the game.

 

Also, Mike Tomczak is still the best Ohio State QB to play in the NFL.

Have to say, Howard has some serious command of the huddle thus far. Very nice.

 

Howard will be fine.


Finally the Steeler QB room woes may be looking brighter.

Football is SO BACK!!

 

Howard has to make some stupid mistakes and learn. Arm doesn't look as strong as we'll see Allar's later. Remember though Allar will be going against 4's and cut candidates.

 

It's only a preseason game, but so nice to be watching the Steelers again. They will clean up some of those penalties.

 

What i miss thought we got the ball start of 2nd half

 

Looks like on the play where Howard stepped up and ran for a few yards, he initially wanted to throw to Wetjen but he may have run the wrong route. Definitely going to be some growing pains for him in that area. He doesn't have a ton of work at receiver.

Not worried about Howard's mistakes; big and small. I care a lot more about how composed he looks (or doesn't) after each play. In addition, if he has command of the huddle. So far so good on both accounts. He can push the ball down the field but at the same time, just not enough juice with that arm when he is off his base.


Still time for him so I am not worried.

 

We did. Drove the ball down some but got stuffed. Green Bays ball currently.

 

Everette has been making some solid plays. Just couldn't get there.

 

McCord looks pretty good himself.
