I still think Ciara is going to be upset to find out that Russell is boning Schlereth's wife, because that's about the only reason I can think of that the guy has such a grudge against him.

That's because it's his first time in his career he wasn't tipped as the favorite to be the starter. Hasn't handled it well so far.

 

well, there is 1 high profile QB. and one wanna-be. I suppose RW gets 1st Q reps with a YOUNG OLINE that needs reps. our drafted QB had a decent OTA , from what I read. He will get lots of work, and he Fields.

maybe game 3 - they play the first half as a full unit, RW and Co.

Fields is not beating out wilson. Preseason should be about who should be no 2. So its fields against the guy from Buffalo

 

Wilson should play very little , we do not need him getting injured and he has experience as a starting q.b. and can get familiar with our starters in practice. Fields and plumlee should use the pre-season to compete for the #2 spot .

 

Barring something crazy during training camp, it will be like last year. Wilson will be treated as the starter and play a little bit (like Kenny last year). The other 2 will get the bulk of preseason snaps.

Wilson will get 10% of the snaps, Fields will get probably 60% and Plumlee (or whoever) will get the rest. Wilson is just going to get enough snaps to warm the arm up and feel the crowd. Fields will get the bulk because the Steelers have to know.....is 2025 going to be another complete rewrite of the QB situation, or does Fields have a future? And then whoever is 3rd will get the rest.

The only thing that is going to change this pecking order is if Wilson has a problem, or #3 suddenly looks like the next Tom Brady.
