I really think the Steelers beat the Patriots at home. That is one game Heinz will be rocking for.

Hopefully the addition of Watt and Haden will at least help the D not get torched as bad as they usually do vs. the Pats. And hopefully Dupree keeps improving and can get pressure on Brady. Likewise with the D-line... they are gonna have to get pressure up the middle on Brady. That's the only way to beat the Patriots... make Brady curl up into the fetal position, like the Giants used to do in Super Bowls and Broncos did in AFC Championship games.

Oh yeah.. one other minor point: The offense needs to score TDs instead of FGs.

I was going to start a thread for "bold predictions" so here's mine:

We lose Sunday to Lions, and then not again. Say hello to #7 , and then goodbye to #7

That is really more so a major point of emphasis than anything else.

The defense will, once again, likely keep us in that game just as they did last season for as long as they can. The offense needs to execute better in the redzone.....

.... that much starts with the execution and the playcalling to put the players in the best position to succeed.

That depends if the offense is capable of converting redzone opportunities.

If we can get out of the first half of the year at 6-2, I see NE as the only loss the 2nd half of the year. Tomlin teams historically get better as the year goes on, I put my faith in that.

    I think it's gonna be 5-3.

The Lions are one of those teams that could surprise the Steelers like the Jaguars and Bears. If Stafford brings his A-game.. look out. I hope he's the usual status-quo Stafford and throws a few INTs. The offense has to show up. Ben and O-line can't get caught sleeping. Bell and Brown will be ready... just hope they get some help.

By the time the Cheatah's get to town Ben will be hobbling, Bell with turf toe, and 6 starters on defense out with snotty noises.
We get shutout 41-0 and have 305 yards in penalties.
    But we still go 10-6.

If your scenario is true.. Then why do we need a change, Mr We-need-a-change?

We need to stop ripping our team so bad all of the time. We don’t need to be like New York

Good or bad, on a message board, some people would find something wrong with a winning lottery ticket.

Looking at the Patriots schedule I see them winning all but 1 of their remaining games with fairly good chance. The one in question is us. If we want to play at home in the AFCC game we have to win that 1 game and basically win out. If not, we would have to go to Patsy Land to play, and the road is much harder.

I hope I am wrong, but we will have at least two more bust games like the Bears and the Jags. Solid wins on paper and statistically will become losses and we will back into the playoffs. Should be a 12-4 team without blinking, but more than likely will end up 10-6 and need the usual math equation to get into the playoffs. The one thing going for us is we can win the division since the three other teams are in decline and these games “should be” wins for us. All I know is we need to score TDs and stop settling for FGs. If not, that equation is going to haunt us soon enough.

Gilbert was never going to play this week. I don't know why you would be surprised by any of them.

The Lions have injuries, too. Their starting left tackle is out. Golden Tate could miss the game, too.
