Figured Kenny would be shaken up by this as they were long time teammates at Pitt. Hope Hamlin can pull out of this!

You can bet Bengals fans and others around the league would be singing a different tune if it were a Hine Ward hit against Jesse Bates and resulted in their safety ending up the way Damar Hamlin currently is.

(Discloser.- This is just a hypothetical example as these players never played together. Just using it as an example cause of the way Hines was portrayed as a hard hitter around the league).

I can think of two instances where the WWE continued the show and probably should've called it a night: Owen Hart tragically falling from the rafters and Jerry Lawler having a heart attack on the air. Crazy that Vince continued both shows.

Just a bunch of pussies shutting the game down when the rest of the world would have moved on. That about sum it up?

First did you actually listen to the video. He didn’t say Higgins hit with the helmet, he said he lowered his helmet. Did you watch the play? That is Exactly what Huggins did!!! He did what 99% of WR & RB do right before contact is made with a potential tackler.

When ignorant idiots like this Dov K. And others post these links with captions like He is Blaming Higgins for what happened it just goes to show their lack of reading/hearing comprehension. Their lack of understanding or purposeful promoting their own agenda against someone they have bias issues with!!!

Nowhere does Bart Scott accuse Higgins of anything malicious or even trying to Hurt Hamlin. He simply described with quite a bit of accuracy exactly what happened and even added the league wanted to remove or limit these kinds of plays but they aren’t enforcing it. He’s actually laying more fault at the feet of the league for not enforcing a rule they themselves want.

Higgins should receive zero criticism for the play or blame for Hamlin being in the Hospital. Bart should receive no backlash for speaking truth. It isn’t hard to watch for ourselves and hear exactly what was said, and by promoting false narratives only drives unwarranted hostile feelings.

we had a cook suffer a massive heart attack and die in the kitchen just prior to opening one night. We didn’t open that night or the next two.

He can blame Higgins without saying it was malicious. His comments do suggest that Higgins did something against the rules, though he never suggested it was intentional.

Great news just came on the NFL Network. The doctors have released a statement that Hamlin has had "remarkable" improvement in the last 24 hours. His lungs are continuing to heal and most important he is neurologically intact. Meaning that his brain is functioning as it should. He is still in critical condition though and still in need of prayers.

Could propel the Bills to their 1st SB. I don't typically care who wins if not for the steelers, but will be rooting for the bills this yr if(most likely when) the steelers season is over.

As the seconds ticked off the clock during the Bills 38-3 beatdown of the Steelers in Buffalo I said to their fans that I am rooting for them to win it all this season unless the Steelers happen to meet them again in the playoffs. I would love for our team to get revenge for that terrible game. Must make the playoffs first though. Any other team they play and I am rooting for the Bills all the way.

Yep. I live near philly so have a lot of philly fans and though I hate the eagles was happy for my friends to experience their SB victory as I know how I felt in 05/06 when I was able to witness the steelers winning. The bills fans deserve a sb title after what they experienced in the 90s and then being irrelevant till very recently.

I just saw another update on the NFL Network. Damar opened his eyes last night and he is gripping the hands of his family members. He is responsive but the NFL reporter doesn't know if that means that he is talking or just nodding his head to answer questions. Either way very good news.

Chances are, because of his breathing and lung condition, he is still intubated and unable to talk

Sounds like the news about Damar is getting better. Just hope it stays that way since he's still listed as critical. Still, this is hopeful.

I'm watching the doctors press conference now and they said he is unable to speak because of the breathing tube but is able to write his questions and responses. To show what a competitor he is one of his first questions was "Did we win?"

I thought it was Who Won??? Either way it doesn’t matter. It means he’s a true competitor, a fighter and someone who cares. Also his brain function is great so the future is now starting to be looking really bright for this young man.!!!

It was just the culture of the WWE. Guys literally broke their necks during matches and would continueb doing whatever they could to continue the match.

The kid is lucky. Even though the doctors and paramedics were right there, it still takes time to assess, get the equipment to him, get his gear off and start CPR/defib.

As for prayers, I'll continue to think he needs doctors and nurses rather than an imaginary man in the sky, but to each their own.

The young man didn't die. IMO the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion

The man went into cardiac arrest on the field during a game. It required CPR and the use of an AED to get his heart to start beating again. Blown out of proportion? FFS

Yes blown out of proportion, It happens to hundreds of people if not thousands everyday... I don't see or here abt those people's progress everyday, i don't see society giving/ donating them millions of dollars... He had a heart attack, his heart stopped and they revived him... I'm glad he is doing well but the attention its getting is over blown
