Maybe Grant is going to the roster with Golson to IR? Or maybe the FO just thinks he sucks...

Yeah, stingily is surprising. They turned over the PS quite a bit the last few years early on. Maybe they will find someone else that got cut they like better

I don't think Grant has been bad enough to completely banish from the organization. See what happens when Golson goes to IR.

remember last season when they fed him the ball all preseason long and he didn't show anything? Someone on the coaching staff has a mean-on for him that's for sure.

I don't know why they need 2 RBs on the PS, when you have 3 RBs on the roster and 1 on suspension.

Gilbert will replace Golsen on the 53. Golsen needs to be on the 53 for at least 24 hours before going to the IR/designated to return. But since Bud Dupree will use that slot, Golsen might just take another year off on the IR. Not sure what they see in Gilbert, he has been a bust so far...

Dukes is a big suprise here , I look for Doran Grant back when Le'vean Bell comes back off of suspension.

Agree. Tomlin seemed to like him - there was obviously an alma mater link - but he must have been doing something impressive in practice. It didn't show on the field...

The good thing is that a rule change means that the team no longer needs to designate the player for return at the time that he is placed on IR. They can simply put both Dupree and Golson on IR, and then if one of them heals in time to contribute they can bring that one guy back. Of course, if both guys heal up, they can only bring one back.

since golson hasn't played a down or practiced barely ever in the NFL, what good would he even do us at that point. there isn't time during the season in practice to give him a camp. we have 4 corners and one knows very little of our defense. the same can be said of golson.

if gilbert starts stinking it up at tackle with a bad arm we will be in trouble with hubbard and feiler as our only backups.

They need to claim UDFA RB Elijhaa Penny off the cards PS, this guy is a road grader at 6-2 235, he had a 113 yards rushing in their last pre season game........

And they keep looking at RB'S..I wonder if DW has some type of nagging injury they are concerned about ? Seems a bit odd to me ..

Bell, Williams, Toussaint, Richardson, and Nix all have expiring contracts this year. They may just be thinking about cheap depth next season.
