Anyone still think the Pouncey signing was dumb? Haven't heard from the Cody Wallace/ Fernando Velasco Fans for a while...

Best Center in the game at a good price....

I'm glad we have him. Just imagine if we had both Pouncey and DeCastro on the field together during those 8-8 seasons? I have to believe we would have been better than 8-8

So you personally know who he hangs out with? Wish I had your connections...

I think having him back is as big a reason as any as to why we are so much improved offensively. The emergence of Bell coupled with Pouncey and DeCastro balling out has made a gigantic difference for us. That contract is looking like a pretty good move right about now.

If I recall, people had a few issues with Pouncey, but one of the main ones was concerns about injuries. Nobody wanted another Woodley situation.

I've always liked Pouncey as a player, and won't forget the impact he had on the line when he first came here. This season, him being healthy has been a major difference maker.

    Hey you're the math teacher.
You break it down to prove how it is a good value

    and
don't forget to show your work.
    :smiley1:

I still reserve the right to wait til the season is over or even into his next year of his contract to bring up his short comings

I still wanted to have Russell Bodine

There's more Crow being eaten around here than chicken wings on game day.
How long before the Mike Adams Crow is served? Mike Mitchell, Marcus Gilbert, Cortez Allen?

I've had a little Steve McLendon crow myself.

Here is the the Cliff notes version

IMO top 3 centers in the game...hard to argue with the recent running game production

He is signed through 2019 with the max cap charge at 10 mil in 2017 when he is going to be hitting his prime...people forget he is only 25...That is a great value for a Center of his caliber and we all know around here what it means to have a rock solid center

    webster
    dawson
    hartings
    Mahan----eek
    Hartwig
    pouncey

think about that for a second 50 years...

Based on this logic, we along with many teams, would have to dump a bunch of players, starting with Ben.

Whether there's crow to be eaten for Archer - or for Mitchell, for that matter - remains to be seen.

The simplest solution for everyone is to give players a year or so to gel with the team and the system!

(Though I still can't stand Mitchell...)

Honestly - when we took Archer I'm pretty sure Martavis Bryant was the number 1 or 2 remaining player on my board. The other was EJ Gaines, so I would have taken one of them in the 3rd and the other in the 4th.
