We'll see if Legursky can last an entire game this time around without getting injured. He's been bitten by the injury bug several time this year already. If Essex plays extended time at Center...watch out.

    Steelers Pouncey won't play Sunday
    Friday, January 06, 2012
    By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey, who aggravated his injured left ankle against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday and again in practice on Wednesday, will not play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game in Denver, the Post-Gazette has learned.

It is the second postseason game in a row Pouncey will miss because of an injury to the same ankle. He did not play against Green Bay in Super Bowl XLV because of a high-ankle sprain.

The Steelers do not have to officially update Pounce's status until after practice today.

Guard Doug Legursky, who is returning after missing the previous game with a left shoulder separation, will start at center. Former starter Chris Kemoeatu will replace Legursky at left guard.

Couldn't agree more Mac. If he starts getting too impatient he could single handedly turn this game over to the Broncs via way of INTs and fumbles. We've seen that horror show twice already this year.

Pouncey and Mendy sitting will hinder our running game. Of course, the biggest issue is still Ben's health. He really would benefit from a decent RB if he is hurting. Still...

...I think the Steelers will pull it together on Sunday despite the injury obstacles. I can see A. Brown with a TD return early. I bet the Woodley and/or Harrison get after Tebow early and create a fumble that results in another TD. If we can get a 14 point lead early, then we have a great chance.

I am psyched for Sunday! Steelers win 20 - 13.

Not against Denver, NE or Rats might be a different story.
OTOH Clark (and probably Pouncey) will be back for the divisional game, so it should be okay.

Out of all of the other issues - *this* is the one that I am concerned about. You hit it right on the head there.

This was exactly my thinking too. I thought Trai played pretty well.

We have to beat the broncos first before we look ahead to NE and Balt. Denver is not going to be a push-over. Every game this year has been close. Even when we had the two shutouts, a play here and there they missed could of put them right back in those game.

We need all hands on deck because it is no tomorrow. Ben plays and we worry about next week when it gets here.
