Hey all - to consolidate the mocks and to see who was the most correct (rightest? Correctest??) I've created this bad larry.

    Post your 7-Round Mocks!

You may make edits up until 8pm Thursday. I mean, you still can after that but we will all think you're a big fat phony.

    Here's mine:

1st - Takkarist McKinley (OLB) UCLA

He's the only pass rusher who I think has a chance to be better than Garrett. 35 inch arms? 4.59 speed? Best motor in the draft? Life adversity? This one is so obvious, I am not sure how some draftniks see him as a 2nd rounder. Put him across from Bud and for the first time in 5 years, we don't have to worry about an Edge player next draft.

2nd - Gerald Everett (TE) South Alabama

He's a slightly slower version of Evan Engram, who I will do backflips over if he is available here. I am assuming that Engram will be a 1st rounder/early 2nd, so Everett is good here too. He's a receiving threat that will be extremely difficult to match up with considering 95% of tight ends dont have 4.62 speed.

3rd - Cameron Sutton (CB) Tennessee

Cam solves our corner problems (he can play slot if the Senquez "airport cowboy" Golson doesn't figure it out) and can return punts too. He's only 4.55 fast, but he's quick and skilled.

3rd - Joshua Dobbs (QB) Tennessee

I am really only big on Mahomes this draft, but if we are going to force it with a QB, this'll work. Dobbs is extremely intelligent and has all the intangibles.

4th - James Conner (RB) Pittsburgh

First off, we are drafting an RB. Secondly, we are a team that emphasizes character when drafting. Thirdly, this is a guy Pitt is so familiar with, his predraft meeting was probably him and Tomlin just shooting the ****.

5th - Damontae Kazee (CB) SD State

Two slot corners, one draft? Well, Cam can play outside first off. Secondly, look at the Patriots; they play two/three slot receivers on some plays. Kazee is underrated, and is a turnover machine who is also a very very willing tackler. I'd be cool with him in the 3rd.

    6th - Josh Reynolds (WR) Texas A&M

Do I think he lasts til 6? No, not really. But I will be surprised if he's not a Steeler. Our interest in him is obvious.

    7th - Montae Nicholson (S)

He's the most athletic safety not named Obi. He also kind-of sucks. He has been described as "beautiful safety, zero game impact". So there ya go. His measurables are crazy, however.

    Top 5 Alternates:

    1st
    Budda Baker
    Obi Melifonwu
    TJ Watt
    Adoree Jackson
    Charles Harris

    2nd -
    Adam Shaheen
    Jourdan Lewis
    Josh Jones
    Derek Rivers/Tyus Bowser
    Zach Cunningham

If Engram is available ******** draft him.

    3rd
    Carl Lawson
    Desmond King
    Jake Butt
    Raekwon McMillan
    Duke Riley

    4th-
    Wayne Gallman
    Kendell Beckwith
    Kareem Hunt
    Rayshawn Jenkins
    Alex Anzalone

    5th-
    Corn Elder
    Jeremy McNichols
    Jalen Myrick

    6th-
    Kenny Golloday
    Jerod Evans

    7th-
    Robert Davis
    Marquez White

" obviously " a pure guessing game and one positional pick can throw the whole thing outta whack but here's my wish-list. I took into some consideration visits and workouts because it's a tendency we've shown. Here we go mock away.....*will note my favorites

    1 * Mccaffrey,Njoku ,Obi.
    2 * Tanoh Kpassagnon,Tyus Bowser
    3 * Shaq Griffin,Jourdan Lewis,Josh Jones
    3b Joshua Dobbs,Brad Kaaya
    4 * Ardarius Stewart,Kenny Golladay,Josh Reynolds
    5 *Joe Williams,Michael Roberts
    6 Javancy Jones
    7 * Ejuan Price,Treyvon Hester

My thoughts: been on the Mac bandwagon for awhile, fills so many needs and creates matchup nightmares,ST phenom if he can't succeed Danny Smith truly sux.
Hello Njoku goodbye Green,no way he lasts the season and we've had glimpses of what a true receiving threat at TE means to our O. Obi should help erase matchup nightmares on D.

Tanoh is rising fast and I think he could be a even more athletic Keisel for us..Bowser is raw but already has the coverage ability ,hopefully Porter can teach him the pass rush.

Shaq in the third ,athletic freak played in a 3-4 and played multiple positions one of Tomlins fetishes..

.Not a fan of QB at all but have a bad feeling so I took the 2 we've shown the most interest in that would be available in the 3rd.

I know MB is back but I think either of these WRs are a upgrade or at leas stiff competition for Coates if his hands are ok...if not its insurance. I prefer Stewart former RB,physical and tough and explosive. More of a threat on bubbles and end arounds, dirty work kind of player with attitude.

In the 5th I like Joe Williams ,home run threat and Roberts if we don't get Njoku.

Another JJ in the 6th but we've shown interest and he looks versatile and physical unlike his predecessor...

Price because ....why not? Need more help at OLB .Hometown player can learn from the other short OLB in town ,maybe not a every down player but could be lightning in a bottle as a pass rush specialist.

Hester vs McCullers whoever wants it more gets a spot..

    Thanks for reading...

I'm a big Tanoh guy too, but I am not sure about the 2nd round for us with a DE. I am amongst the minority that believe we could use some D-Line depth, because after Hargrave, Steph and Cam I am just not sure

I know but it's essentially a 3rd and he won't be there for ours. I agree a bit early maybe ,but love the upside and flexibility

Interesting, do you think MLB is our biggest need, or is Cunningham just your BPA?

It was a little bit of both. I know we need an edge guy, that would probably be my #1, but I honestly don't like that many of them in the first round. I don't even like Barnett for us. Maybe I'm just scared of his "I played in the SEC, had a bad combine, but I produced thing" since that was where we were with Jarvis Jones, but I think honestly he is a better 4/3 DE than a 3/4 OLB if that makes sense. Some of the other guys have enough warts that I'm not sure I see them as first rounders. Williams, Watt, Lawson, Rivers, etc. After that, in the mock, there really wasn't anyone there in those middle rounds that I liked.

I like Cunningham and honestly think he is rising on the boards that I have seen.

Jones is a guy that I keep seeing slipping to use in the 2nd, and I like him. He might be my favorite S for us. With the likelihood of him being at 2 and knowing that, I could reach to another position passing over Peppers in 1.

I was going to wait on a TE until later and get Roberts, but Kittle was there and he was hard on me to pass up as I don't trust L. Green to stay healthy.

Griffin is a guy who we brought in and I think is perfect for this draft slot. I could see us taking him.

Dobbs...what can I say, I am pretty opposed to a QB in this draft at all, and I really wanted the DE from Nova, but he went one pick in front...or maybe two...of my pick, I had to do something else. He was best left.

Conner I think is a perfect fit for what we want. I don't think he is or ever will be an elite talent, but I think the kid has heart. Put him into a backup role, and that heart will show up when needed.

Ebukam is a guy who I think has a ton of potential especially if he can learn from Mr. Harrison for a year. He may not dress much, but he will toward the end of the year.

Rochell is another ND guy who learned the same way that Tuitt did. Not a ton of potential, but when I missed out on the guy from Villinova and still didn't have a DE he was the best left. Tuitt may have some ability to tutor him up to a functional player. Walton probably still gets the roster spot, but Rochell will push him at some point, I hope.

Your "think" scenario is an insanely good draft. I hope you're right, but I think Maye is 50/50 to be available to us in the 2nd, never mind the 3rd round comp pick.

It's a deep safety class. All depends how people have them ranked. I think I have him as my 8th or 9th safety. Depends how quickly they start coming off the board.

Agreed. I think I have Marcus Williams ahead of Maye. This safety class is so deep I almost wish we needed two safeties
