I am rethinking our conversation on the 3-4 linebackers vs. dbacks. This secondary is winning games. :hardrock:

I'm pretty proud of this group of guys who are out there fighting to win these games. Nobody expected this season to amount to much after Ben went out, especially after the departure of AB and Bell, but they have really done a good job of making lemonade out of lemons. I've told people that the personnel on the team right now is such a change from who we had last year that it's almost like I was asleep for 10 years and woke up to a completely different team than I knew. And with that happening, I'm just happy that they're doing as well as they are.

What interception? All I saw was a W on the score board and 7-5.

This year's team reminds of the 1989 team that started terribly but rallied to squeak into the payoffs. Not the most talented team but they were scrappy. That may be a good description of the 2019 Steelers as well.

And our receivers made some outstanding grabs in combat that changed the outcome of the game.

Hand in hand ,they are both working in unison. Hard to have one without the other.

The 89 team almost won in Denver. But that team probably gets wiped out by Montana/San Francisco... had they made it to the Super Bowl.

I would love to have been on the Browns message board yesterday as arrogance in the first quarter gradually turned into despair as the game wore on, LOL. Wonder who they want fired or cut from the team or who they blame for not producing a playoff spot this year.

Wasn`t that the game where we got the ball late with a chance to win and Bubby went into panic mode and we quickly lost our last possession?

I was so wrong about MR being ready. I actually thought he would solidify himself as Ben's replacement. I'd have lost a bet that we would be sitting at 7-5 or better right now with MR firmly entrenched under center and giving Tomlin a difficult decision for next season. It really is amazing where we're sitting right now with all the upheaval.

I took a look at their message board and they are screaming for Kitchens head. My favorite quote was from one of their posters who said they can't believe that they lost to a Division 2 college team. lol

Terrell Edmunds had an impact play in that game. Made a big tackle against Kareem Hunt. If he does not make that tackle, Kareem is likely headed for the TD.

That said, someone needs to tell Keith Butler to stop playing Terrell in off man coverage against players like Jarvis Landry. It amazes me that Keith Butler can move one step forward and two steps back even with this infusion of talent. Put Terrell in a position to make plays; close to the LOS.

Have someone like Cameron Sutton or even Mike Hilton on Landry. Keep Terrell in a deep half zone if you are going to use him in coverage. Sheesh..

The same thing with the 1994 Steelers had they made the Super Bowl, the 49ers would've smoked them.
