You do know they had more success in the 80s especially in playoffs? This is probably the worst 10 yrs in Steelers history in my lifetime.

Yeah. I remember the 80s being bad. But not this bad. We even had a few scrappy years where they went further than anyone expected (1989 comes to mind).

The 60s were before my time, so I have no memory of how bad BAD is.

Right now, it really doesn’t matter who is qb. Need offensive line to gel, need another or 2 wrs, i would see what we could get for Pickens, especially after his comments to media after our last debacle.
The defense? Only positive thing about this team right now is ST.
So yes, it’s gonna take awhile, we are not one or two fixes away from being contenders

I posted this in another thread - the 80s weren’t so great either.

    Noll from 1980 to 1991 (12 seasons):

    93-91 Overall Record
Made the playoffs in 4 of the 12 seasons
    2-4 Playoff Record

During those 12 years, we only had one season of 10 more wins (10-6 in 1983).

They are really laying it on Tomlin . My local sports station here in SC. Even DK said enough is enough.
No way could I go into work for 8 years straight and not be productive without any consequences, like being fired

If we couldn’t get Ben Johnson , what do you think about McCarthy from the Cowboys?
Yuck, that left a bad taste in my mouth.i guess desperate times call for desperate measures

I feel we should be at the end of the line at this point. If they don’t fire Tomlin, then they must make him rework our coaching staff and offensive philosophy.

In addition, the Front Office and GM deserves at least an earful for letting us go into the season with such an awful room of WRs.

I see what your saying, but you fire all his staff, Tomlin going to bring in his coaches and same ole same ole. We seen this movie over n over
We seen coaches come n go. We seen players come n go. Only one common denominator at this point.

I don’t disagree with this, but just don’t know that AR is going to fire Tomlin right after giving him an extension.

I don’t see it happening either. Tomlin will have to voluntarily resign.

I just hope the chiefs get wiped out now. Tired of hearing about this Taylor swift love story. Team makes me want to vomit.

yes, I was thinking about that the other day. Championship game with Malone, some PO success with Brister (I think), I could accept the loss to a Denver team lead by Elway, the loss to a Tebow lead team was really hard to stomach, lol.

Magnum PI, I was in military tech school at the time. Hung in there the first half, than Marino went off.

Every year there are different excuses, but every year the result is the same and the only constant is MT. Are you ever going to accept reality?

Watt's poor play is so on him so every time he sucks in the playoffs you want to blame the HC, how many times did he get fooled tackling the wrong ball carrier .
