They just asked Tomlin at his press conference why they're not doing anything in the first half and he said (paraphrasing)'we're just not scoring any points. And you got to score points.'

 

Damn that man is effing smart ! He should work for nasa !!!!!

 

Getting tired and frustrated with this barely better than average then getting embarrassed in the playoffs.

But come spring when the draft rolls around every pick we make will be a hall of famer.

But I don't know it almost seams they are trying to stay where they are. They were average when they drafted Pickett without a solid oline and from a weak QB draft.

Now this draft is not loaded with QB's and forgetting about the second half Wilson is not a good QB ANYMORE.

They took a shot on two cast off QB's this year and all they have done is find out why they were both available in the first place.

Watt is maybe still banged up or already in decline Cam had a great year but looked completely gassed by the end of the first half.

Until we get a QB we are in a constant semi rebuild , we have been stuck in this mode for all of Watts career and that's a shame.

Coaching is average at the very best, the defense hasn't been able to cover a TE in I don't know 8 yrs.

Smith as an OC is a tiny bit better than Canada but still so conservative and very predictable.

Not giving up but not going to fall for the hype when we sign another 35 yr old QB .

Even the announcers were saying Wilson is a one read type QB . What the hell is that he has played for 13 yrs and can t go through his reads.

 

It worked when Wilson's legs were in their 20's. One read then scramble fast enough to create.

 

With the current 8 year ( or however long) track record, what we just witnessed season wise might be the best* we get for three more years. Continued seesaw regular season play with a low seed, playoff bloody nose and kicked ass.
* Best meaning even making the playoff beatdown. Disturbing.

Man I hate this time of the year, we clean out our lockers and have to wait 8 months to be brutally disappointed once again. So hard to dial back the emotional commitment I make every year knowing in my head that we have no real chance again. F'ing hate that feeling.

 

ARII already gave you the answer with Tomlin's latest extension. Buckle up for more failure the next two years. If we keep breaking.500, this could go further. This is a catastrophic situation with a stale coach and a gutless owner who thinks he knows what he is doing but obviously doesn't.

What's nuts is my daughter was born a few months after we won #6 and I was there for it. She's now going to be 16 and driving and it feels like we will be enduring the drought between #4 and #5. I'm retired and just bought our retirement home so time is beginning to tick but I can't help being sucked in every year with hope but knowing its false hope.
