The offensive line played good enough today. Ben had enough time to throw.
All those sacks were on Ben for not being smart enough to throw the ball away. (see Brady).
We put absolutely no pressure on opposing QB's. Because of this we are doomed from the start.
    Woodley is worthless.
Tomlin should be arrested for impersonating a NFL coach.
The Clowns will destroy us and humiliate us also.

All I can say is this... when the offense comes back and ties it 24-24 going into the 4th quarter, takes our score to 31 in the 4th quarter, but the defense let's the bad guys go from 24 to 55 in the 4th quarter, we should be identifying the real problem.

And no, Tomlin doesn't escape blame here. He's responsible for preparing the entire team.

As I stated years back we are in danger of losing our idenity...We are no longer feared as a Defense and we are no longer feared as a Team that will punish you with a run game...We are caught in no mans land and we better make some huge changes quick..

To compound this problem we have just enough holes in every phase of the game to get exposed....Ben can't set up or throw a screen, Ben can't hit WR'S in stride for yac yards..We have 0 WR'S who are strong enough to get off the line ,,we have 0 Big WR'S to snatch the ball...We have holes at tackle and at Guards on Offense....We need a 2nd. TE ,we also need a real FB not a guy who pretends to be..

On Defense no guys who can pass rush 1 on 1,Gay at CB who will get exposed everytime against an elite QB ,,,can't stop the run,,no one to guard great TE'S ,,poor, poor tackling...Probably the worse display of open field play I have ever seen on any level of Football...

The next shoe to drop, I'm quite sure, will be the long snapper. Any good ones on the market!

I don't know if I would cut the longsnapper.... YET. I think we give him a little more time but I'm sure Tomlin is scouring the waiver wires to look for the best waterboy he can find because he wants to send the stern message that NO one is safe. LOL.

Not a surprise to me whatsoever. I've gotten a chuckle after every loss this season when I read someone's post that says "the defense is doing fine, it's the offense that is our problem!"

Guess what. The defense is not fine. And the only reason a lot of folks couldn't see the forest through the trees is because this is the first time this season we've lined up against an elite QB. (and yeah, I deliberately left Flacco's name off that list)

Chuckle all you want but by my score, the offense has cost us 6 games and the defense 2. They aren't a great defense and never claimed they were but they are a hell of a lot finer then our offense.

Didn`t read the whole thread, so if this was covered already sorry...Just read this page, and my first thought was to post...
Well, at least we finally SCORED over 30 points... Shame our D let us down.
I agree the D has not, until now, and maybe one other game this year let us down...
But I do have to wonder about your math, Blast... If the D cost us 6, and the O cost us 2...
    Wouldn`t we be 0-8?
I`ll chalk it up to frustration over this season, `cuz it FEELS like we shud be 0-8...
I was proud of us for fighting back to a 24-24 tie..
    And then...
    OMG, WTF???
    GO STEELERS!

OMG, Stiller 3, that would be funny if not so true...
I still couldn`t help laffin my A off, at the old 3 Stooges Clip.
Laffs are good. I need em right now, after that game yesterday, so , Thank You!:hello:
I Also appreciate the Yosemite Sam rant, to back-up Mac Daddyo`s pg-13 rant... That was funny, Ray d(I thinK)...
    Aside from all that...
I finally read thru the whole thread, and while I agreee with a lot of JAD`S points,...
Especially about quitting throwing to Bell, like he`s a reciever...
Why are we STILL "rotating" our backs, or punt/kick returners, for that matter?!?
The rb by committee experiment should be OVER by now, and yet, we did it again, yesterday!
I don`t think that`s the biggest problem we have, but I haven`t sen it questioned yet, here, and I didn`t wanna start a seperate thread about it.
Like I said., nowhere near our biggest problem, but still a problem.
Yeah. I liked seein Dwyer break off a big run, but haven`t we learned not to keep switching the backs?
Kept thinking one of em was hurt.
    Same with returns...
Now it`s Jones, Now it`s Sanders(which I hate the risk to a receiver, but we gotta do SUMTHIN!, Now it`s Brown, Now it`s sumone else...)
Does Tomlin just figure it looks like he`s doin something, if he switches them out???
Bigger problem at the rb position to me, but either way...
Pick someone, and give em their chances...
    This "committee" crap doesn`t work!
Have we not, at least, learned that, by now?
Again, nowhere near our biggest problem, but a big pet peeve of mine.
    Peace.
    GO STEELERS!

How very sad,but how very true....Sadly I don't see it as a Retool we are in full rebuild mode and the scary part is I am not sure the Coaches even realize it..

Well The Standard is the Standard as they say...Oh how are Standards have sunk...
