Problem is, Troy has missed 15 games in 3 years.

    Late Field Goal Attempt

I know Suisham hadn't missed a field goal but making him attempt the field goal that would be his farthest, poor call. Let the O go for it or kick it away. We all know the poor D we have late in the game. Love Tomlin but that was a S**T call, period. Extra period.

That last statement is the just one of the biggest problems with this team. Playing down or underestimating the competition.

I would like to know why Tomlin went for a CAREER fricken long FG for Suisham at the end! Hindsight is 20-20, I get it, but if you punt that ball you are almost gauranteed to go into OT! That disctance by Suisham is a fricken prayer and everyone knows it, including Tomlin! This continues to piss me off how we play down to the competition...who knows, maybe we are Oakland and Tennessee and not Baltimore, New England or Houston. Bottom line for me, is who thinks that thew other three teams I just mentioned would struggle like this against Oakland and/or Tennessee? I gaurantee you that NE and Houston probably would of blown the doors off either Oakland or Tennessee or BOTH! We are just average, live with it!

    Best option:

    A. Ben to throw a seven-yard 4th down completion; or
    B. Suisham to make a 53-yard FG; or
    C. Rookie punter Drew Butler to pin the Titans inside the 10

When we were 3rd and 2, why did we pass ? Ben had an imomplete to sanders or AB. Ike Taylor pisses me off.

Well I see 9 and 7 at best Ike sucks. He will lose us at least 2 more games this year. Ben should have ran for 5 yards instead of throwing the ball away on last drive. We looked just like we did in Oakland. Same story different opponent. Wallace looked disinterested in blocking on bubble screens. We must be the only team that the offensive line constantly falls on each other and gets injured. Ok my drunk ass is done. LOL :herewego:

This team is simply not good enough to overcome injuries and when you have a team full of the habitually injured this is a recipe for disaster, which is what this season is shaping up to be. Too bad, because Ben is playing some of his best ball (tonight notwithstanding).

I think you're underestimating this board. We wouldn't be fooled by a 4-1 record considering this team's god awful performance win or lose. Well, some of us wouldn't be.

We should trade for the kicker in St.Louis.

He's terrible at this, he's also been called for holding on a few this year.

Not that it was Shauns fault.

It was everyone's fault. I"m just saying.

That guys is a really awesome kicker.

Suisham is a good kicker. That kick was out of his range and Tomlin should have comprehended that.

This is just not a good football team. I've never seen a team have so many injuries and it has been going on for multiple seasons. It goes way beyond bad luck and has to do with conditioning, age, and technique. This team can't run the ball for sh!t. And for all the yards Ben racked up, we can't score enough points. 360 yard passing but only 2 TD's. Seems like the same problems not being to score TD's in the RZ. Our secondary continues to be pathetic. It's been the same problems for 4 years or more: crappy ineffective OL amd weak secondary. The problems even seem to be getting worse as the strengths we used to have, i.e stopping the run and getting pressire on the QB have all but disappeared over the past 2 years. This team will be hard pressed to make the postseason, which means failure.

I'll give you we are only one play away in the Oakland and Tennessee games from being 4-1...but the Philly win was a little lucky too. Also - I think the biggest point is this. You rarely ever see teams like the Patriots jack around with a team like Tennessee. Perfect example is when Timmons made that pick....if that was NE they would have put the knife in and scored a TD with that short field. The 27-10 blowout of the Jets is the rare game for the Steelers, realistically every game is a tussle.

Baron Batch blew it he probably could've got more yards for the last fg he ran through the wrong hole. Nice call Lebeau you have a 34 year old Harrison coming off a knee injury trying to cover a tight end, gets beat for a 25 yd gain for the winning fg. This team is pathetic and soft they need to fire their strength and conditioning coach way too many injuries. Can't stop a old washed up qb like Hasselbeck what a freaking joke.

I'm just going to try and mak the most of what's going to be a bad year. It's almost like this team is cursed, its either the offence or he D stinking it up, or injuries. Hopefully I can at least enjoy watching Ben have a good year and have a high draft pick to look forward too because those will be the only positives to come from this season.

We had a ton of injuries, the Titans came to play and any given week any team can win. The team rallied when it was down and even with all the injuries they were still in it till the end. The only person that should be blamed for this loss is Tomlin. No way, no how should he have his kicker try a career long FG on grass in an open stadium (and he iced his own kicker to boot!!!) especially when he can't even kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs like every other kicker can. He should know this. He should also have known that Titans were pretty much moving up and down the field between the 20's all game on our defense so giving them the ball with a short field was just plain dumb. Punt the ball, go into overtime and then attack and play to win.

Tomlin, big supporter here but this one is squarely on you.

This is why I'm saying we should trade.
Guy in St.Louis is young I believe and we're already in the rebuilding phase.
    So Why not?
Until we're ready that kid can be kicking 70 yard field goals since our O can barely score as it is against crap teams.
Plus we'd be able to kick it out of the endzone if WE WANTED TO.

In addition to those that were already walking wounded, we can add Redman, Mendenhall, Pouncey, Gilbert. Foster, Clark got dinged up. Heck, even saw Max hobbling around. What is the damm deal with injuries?

Also, Lebeau shouldn't be blitzing in a situation like that anyway.

I wish Tomlin could have heard me say the exact thing as they were lining up to miss that FG. I'm pretty sure that 90% of the fans knew exactly what was coming after all that. :frustrated:

So I guess the next question is: Who is the best CB available in next year's draft?
