There should be a vote of no confidence when it comes to Pickett, there was almost a mutiny on the team with him and Trubisky playing.

Start Mason create an excuse if need be but Mason gets the start, we all understand what's at stake here. The never had a losing season streak.

It's not like the Oline played a great game in pass protection. I think it is more of a case of Mason having the bells to stand in there and deliver the ball. Even the announcers were all over how good he is especially when his first read is there. He seams to have matured and learned a few things.

The 86 yd TD on a nice slant route has been missing all year . How the coaching staff allowed this team to ignore the middle of the field for the last two and half years needs to be questioned. Other teams feast on the middle of the field and make it easy on an inexperienced or second string QB by using crossing routes so the receiver is right in the QB's line of sight. You have him throw the ball 12 yds to make 6-8 yds but not the Steelers. Their offense was and still is mostly expecting the QB to throw the ball all the way out to the sideline maybe 25 or 30 yds to gain 4.

They are not going to make any noise in the playoffs if they get there and yesterdays win might cost them a draft position , but it was sure as hell fun to see what this offense could be when the QB can deliver the ball on time and on target with some velocity.

One thing I’ll say is Mason looked great. He suprised me and proved me wrong.

However, that was against almost the dead last defense in the league. I’m curious to see how he does against the next two teams.

But yes you have to keep playing him. Mitch is straight dirty cat liter. And Kenny is a first round bust who throws 4 yard passes all game.

I think I agree with this. It would not make sense to start Kenny. Let KP rest ;) Mason can handle it clearly. Dude reads the defense and goes through his progressions well. He earned another chance for sure.

Im a Mason guy and he earned it, but I would not be surorised if they don't put KP or there for one last look before having to make off season decisions

    Allow me to counter.

Big Ben and Mason had a actual OC by the name of Randy Fichtner.

Kenny Pickett and Mitchell Trubisky had an OC way over his head in Matt Canada.

QBs are needed but the OCs ability to place those pieces into winnable situations is what allows them to reach their potential. Mason would still get my vote but I doubt he would have performed any better than either Mitch or Kenny did with Canada.

this spells disaster. playing with a young qb is a dangerous thing. mason is clearly not the long term answer. he's a veteran qb who should have some great games. the only solution is to draft a qb in the 1st round if u think kenny is not the answer.

Beware… people are going to blame Canada. Me personally, i think KFP and Trib suck. I know it was only one game, but Mason sure did make it interesting watching offense yesterday. KFP, no where close to putting a game together like Mason just did

I wouldn't consider it as Pickett losing his job because of injury, it's not like they're making Mason the permanent starter, you need to ride the hot hand.

Tribs does stink. Kenny?! Not 100% certain... yet. However, that "yet" will be answered this upcoming week. Starting Mason over Kenny?!

That would be a pretty damning indictment for Kenny for certain if he is 100% healthy. That also would make the 2024 Steelers Pro Day Visits very intriguing. Again though... if Kenny is 100% healthy and Mason gets the start over him.

There's no need for having to come up up with an excuse. Rudolph is the 1st Steelers QB in 2 years that can actually put some points on the board, it's a no brainer to start him against the Seahawks

on time, on target, AND regardless of weather. I got a bit nervous when the rain picked up haha.

If the o-line holds up a little longer on a couple of those misses deep, then it couldve been a 40-50 point game for us.

KFP already ruined. Best thing for KFP is to watch and learn from the sidelines. I said this a long time ago, but no you will ruin him. Guess what they ruined him by throwing him into fire before he was ready.

if he's not, then you better draft a qb in the 1st round.

Pickett might have had just as good of a game as Rudolph had. The Bengals defense is tailor made for a struggling offense like ours, it's too bad that we can't play them every week. Having Chase out was a big help too. It was a good win for the Steelers and Rudolph, but I would go overboard with it
