    It's ironic that one of the things people dump on Tomlin for is that he doesn't motivate, yet when he clearly challenges the team to play better by making a statement like that, the players failed miserably but it's Tomlins fault, he doesn't motivate. He gets blamed either way :facepalm:[/quote:9lsawpg7]

    I completely agree with you. It wasn't Tomlin's fault that the players didn't come through after he made that statement, but since he's the one who said it, that's who the media and fans are going to focus on.

    I dont think there is even any validity to Tomlin not being a motivating coach. People like to say he is not emotional but I have seen plenty of emotion in Tomlin. He is a players coach for sure. What we really need as others have pointed out is a player that is a good motivator just like Jpeezy..
