Do you think Poe's crazy combine, thus far, is playing him out of Steeler contention?

It seems like he'll move up and won't be there when the Steelers pick.

Yep, may as well forget about him now, he'll be gone well before #24. Besides, if we were ever going to move up for a player, it should be Decastro. We need a stud guard more than a stud NT.

I guess i better change my mock draft. Looks like Poe will be gone. Take Hightower in the first and Tam"au in the second.

The article says he impressed in the workouts, but kind of underperformed for his team during the season. Doesn't that concern anyone?

His size and numbers at the combine sound great, but what if he's just a workout guy? I mean, underperforming at MEMPHIS against college level competition?

And I don't see Hampton being the "teacher type" either. He probably would learn more from Hoke, he seems like that kind of selfless player...

Looking at some of these prospects, Poe does look like the NT they need to replace Hampton. The man is just thick as hell, most of the other guys look thin in the legs, he's just a house in shoes.

Workout/combine guy like Vernon Gholston? Ya never know...hopefully if the Steelers end up with him he's not only a workout guy.

With Poe size on NFL network they were comparing him to Haloti Ngata I would love for the Steelers to get Poe at #24. If he is gone then I would be cool with Hightower.

Poe won't be there @ 24... I think we should trade up to possibly 9,10 or 11... we could trade our first and maybe our 2nd... or maybe a 1st and a first in next yr... possibly even a 1st and something else.. but for us to get poe we need to move up.. but he would be a great addition for us.

If they move up for anybody (especially that high) it better be for DeCastro not Poe.

A house in shoes... :roflmao: He is a thick boy! Maybe he underperformed at Memphis because he was it, constantly being double-and triple-teamed because their defense had no one else.

The Steelers will not trade up 13 to 15 spots for anyone, nor should they, the price is too high. They should only consider it if DeCastro gets to 16 or lower but it probably won't happen with either player. Either way , I trust in management. GO STEELERS! :towel:

Don't think that he will be there either. Before the combine I was thinking Hightower, Poe, Glenn in that order. Now, I don't think Poe or Glenn will be there. But someone is going to have to fall. And I still think it might be Martin. Starting quality left tackle or ILB? Tough question.

if neither are there at that time, do you think we should possibly trade back and build up on draft picks??
