What's more of a mystery is how Blake has seemingly got worse this season.

I remember games against the Bengals a few seasons ago where he covered AJ Green pretty well - one or two slips, but it's AJ Green, after all.

I don't know if it's something about Butler's defense that doesn't chime with him, or I just had lower expectations back then...

Blake and McCain were the bright spots last season in the secondary, and Gay of course. Should have kept McCain and let Blake go. Don't know what happened to Blake but Tomlin needs to stop force feeding him into the lineup or risk being one and done and 6 years with no playoff victory.

Oh, and since the Steelers seem to always set a first, wouldnt it just be like them to give Cincy their first playoff victory under Lewis? Starting Blake will be a good step in achieving that milestone.

I would be shocked if Blake doesn't start next week. It took an act of congress to remove Cordez Allen last year. But I think Blake has rein the longest.

I also didn't see Jarvis Jones in the second half.....

The funny thing is that if you rewind a few seasons, all of these same calls for Blake to be benched were being heard about Gay. Now he's our money DB. Let's hope that if MT decides he's going to stick with him that he turns the corner and provides us with some consistency back there in the near future.

Then let that "near future" be next season, not this year's playoffs.

Look Blake isn't great but I haven't seen alot more out of boykin. I liked boykin coming out of college but he doesn't like to tackle. never has. At least Blake will hit you. It's a pick your poison decision. I think Blake is better in run game

The scary thing about Blake is even when he finds himself in position he still can't make a play. I thought it was David Blaine at CB when he jumped that route and the ball went right through him. That was some slight of hand trick.....

Neither can tackle well. But Boykin is better in pass coverage. Almost looks like he has now lost confidence in pass coverage.

You may have something there. Send Blake to AZ for a season and then bring him back?

I seriously doubt Blake will ever be half the player Boykin is but I am certain Tomlin will give him every undeserved opportunity.

If Blake can miraculously transform from one of the worst corners in the NFL to one of the best we would all be stunned and grateful.

FWIW. Boykin played 75% of the defensive snaps against Cleveland.

This! let's hope that Blake doesn't cost us a victory. Thank goodness he is UFA after this season. Also it seems that Boykin is always around the ball, making some sort of play. I would hope they consider resigning Boykin although the way he has been handled he will probably bolt.
I will gladly take Blake wherever his next destination will be, way far from Pittsburgh.
