Jameis Winston keeps both teams in the game. He puts up lots of yards and TD's but also throws a ton of picks.

 

Why would the Browns ever let him go?

 

Players will throw things out there when they're looking for a job, hard pass on Jameis.

 

24 NFL quarterbacks threw eight interceptions or more in the 2024 season. Jameis Winston is one of eight quarterbacks that are 12 interceptions. Only three quarterbacks threw more than 12. Of those 24 quarterbacks, only three had a lower rating than Jameis Winston (80.6). Anthony Richardson had a 61.6, Mason Rudolph had an 80.1 and Mac Jones had an 80.5.

Jameis Winston threw 296 pass attempts in 2024. He had a 61.2% completion. For quarterbacks that had more than 100 pass attempts, there's only three that had a worse completion percentage than Winston. Those three were Bryce Young, Cooper Rush and Trevor Lawrence. All of them were within half a percent below him. So he's at the bottom of the league there.

You can pick apart a lot of his statistics. He is bottom of the barrel in 2024 in pretty much all of them. If we're going to bring in another 'veteran', I do hope that it's somebody with a slightly better record than that.
