Playoffs

To question someone's fandom over an opinion is short sighted to me. I have been a Steeler fan for over 40 years. Been through the good and bad. This team is NOT a playoff team. They will be fortunate to win the next 2 games. I will give them the clowns game. It's hard for some to face the reality that this team is mediocre after having great success for some years now. Father time has caught up with the defense as well as the scheme. The offense is starting to show promise. Would I like to see them in the playoffs? Of course. Will it happen? No.

 

To follow out that scheme, if the Steelers end up 6-10, then that will be the 4th time they have finished that low. The last 3 times, the first round of the draft brought them Rod Woodson, Plaxico Burress, and Ben Roethlisberger. Nice consolation prizes.

I agree that I am beginning to see signs of promise from the offense, thanks to Le'veon Bell and Dennis DeCastro, 2 budding stars in this league. I don't even think they need to bring back Sanders because I don't seem him as a uniquely talented player by any means (for example, how similar would Markus Wheaton's production be over a similar # of snaps)? However, the defense is in as bad a state as I can remember for a long time. I'd start in the draft with a DB and go from there.
