The report I heard said the Steelers were willing to match the Jags offer of a 4th and a 6th. LV asked for the Steelers to improve their offer and when they didn't Myers was traded to the Jags. No reason the Steelers couldn't have beat that offer.

I'd give you a source, but I honestly don't remember, and I'm too lazy to look it up.

I'm going by what I heard from the local media that the asking price was too high for the Steelers.

Don’t think I’d put them at 1. Jacksonville waxed them in Denver recently

i can understand that. Maybe we dont have a clear cut number 1 in the AFC since KC had a real down year and the Bills have struggled. Teams like the broncos and jags are young and unproven in the playoffs. If AR gets on a hot streak maybe we have a chance.

Steelers are certainly better than Carolina IMO

I think we can play with Houston but the D will have to play mistake free and I’m not sure the secondary is capable.

I get that the Steelers are not viewed as a SB contender, but this line of thinking is silly. It was a divisional game.

What exactly about the Seahawks / 49ers divisional game made either team look "dangerous" for example?

I've said it before, the way the Steelers play ball make their margins for victory tight, but it also makes it possible for them to beat anybody on any given Sunday and definitely any given Monday.

Never been a Rodgers fan prior to this season, but said before the season that would love for him to have success here as it would piss so many people off. It is working so far, and love the continued doubt of this team. Steelers tend to perform better (outside of the playoffs in recent years) as the underdog. Hopefully that will change this year as I don't see the Steelers being as outmatched as they were against the likes of the Bills and Chiefs for example.
