By on the bubble, I'm going to hazard a guess you mean people who were on the team last year.

McFarland as the 3rd RB is on the bubble. If Teague is healthy and can play special teams, he has a shot.

    No arguments here.

Pretty sure that covers everyone barring some unforseen circumstances.

Yeah, he's on the bubble, injuries slowed him down, but they probably expected more from him. They went out and drafted a guy similar and made some free agency moves. He's got to show something in camp.

Good list to start with, add Harvin and Gunner I am sure we will find others. Dotson
will be Looked at for future considerations. I believe Miller just signed a 1 year contract?

If that kid looks like he can handle punts, Gunner may be gone. I think Ben wanted him more involved in the offense and they just kept him for continuity. Simms was more electric

Kendrick Green should have already been gone. Just admit the mistake and move on. Cutting him would save 1,103 M
Montravius Adams does add depth also for special teams. He is due to make 3,232,500 this season. Cut him and save 2,500 M. Or they extend him for another year or cut him and bring him back at a lower cap hit.
Arthur Maulet is a liability in coverage. He should be gone. Due 2,290 M. Cut 1,790 M
Ahkello Witherspoon being cut would save 4 M. He's due 5,482,500. Not worth that.

Tre Norwood special teams. Minimal cost to keep him.
Louder2% might end up on the roster it's only his 3rd season. Minimal cost to keep him.
Oui Oui Pierre the same. He is due 1,300 M whether he stays or goes.

I can see them possibly keeping Dotson unless he wants out. I was hoping for a day 3 trade but it didn't happen. He's due 2,907,704. Cut would save 2,743 M. I feel they will try and possibly trade him during camp. Might be the odd man out and he is in Tomlins dog house.

Others would be Gunner and Harvin.

I know Maulet is limited from a talent perspective, but he’s got as much heart as anybody on the defense. He kinda won me over last year when he got pissed off and let his teammates have it over their frivolity when the team was struggling.

I like Maulet's approach and physical play, but he is such a liability in coverage. Getting good enough depth in the secondary to push him to a special teams role or off the roster entirely is an important step toward being contenders.

Harvin is definitely in danger. Braden Mann will provide legitimate competition for the job.

Edit: Just saw on the offseason moves thread. They are cutting Maulet.

I'm not ready to give up on Kendrick Green yet. Remember he was a 3rd round pick, a round you hope to get a FUTURE starter in. They started him as a rookie at center, a position he hadn't played before. Last year they had him back at guard, but because he played out of position his rookie year he was basically a rookie guard last year.

I'm not saying he's going to start this year, but he might turn into a pretty good depth piece this year. This isn't a prediction, but rather a reminder that it's too early to call him a list cause.

Maulet got the mallet today. With all the cornerback activity, I hope Witherspoon and Pierre did not sign long term leases. I bet they will be the next prominent names to be released, not counting Santos, who made bail.

Logic and reason aren’t allowed here. Players are either immediate studs or permanent busts. Period

/edit if you add “sucks” it automagically adds credence to your post and displays a high intellect. Hope this helps

We want volunteers ... not hostages Maulet! He said that he wasn't going to sell his soul. You can't blame a man for standing on his beliefs.

He offers the versatility to play G or C. What we saw 2 years ago from him at C was… well, pretty bad, but I’d bet he’d be a notch or two better in 2023 if Cole went down for a game or two.

I posted this same thought elsewhere

If Green had not been stuck out of position as a rookie at center no one here would be writing him off

He should be kept over Dotson

He probably should have been started over Dotson to begin last year but once Dotson was in because of a years experience they kept the status quo

Gunner signed with the team after Ben retired.
