It was stated that Rainey can be used as a WR, well I am not seeing. Haley needs to dig up that ole Ram play book up or find a way to get Rainey in the open field just as they did with Marshall Faulk. There is no LBer that can keep up with him. They can line up in a 2 WR, TE, FB, RB set and bring Rainey to the slot and if they use a LBer on him then it should be 6.

It's easy for us to say that, but maybe Rainey just isn't as good as we all think he is. I mean, there's a reason he fell so far in the draft. We have a tendency to hype up our young players (remember Frank Summers anyone?) and think they are the greatest thing ever. Perhaps Rainey isn't a good route runner, perhaps he doesn't know the playbook that well. There's a lot of reasons that could explain his usage, or lack of.

Plus the D's are keying in on him a lot after what they saw in the preseason. I remember reading Haley or someone saying that recently...and that they're working him in more and more as time goes on.
