BTW that pistol above is circa 1903-1914. Anyone know the date for sure?

They should make a tape for the young money crew of the Burress catch and require them to watch it till it is permanently burned into their brains. See fellas this is how you catch a football with your hands. Did you see that Mike Wallace? Two hands catch ball tightly in the air over his head, then they retract close to his body. They do not open and release the ball as he tries to cradle it close to his chest, they hold it firmly. Now learn it!

They should make him learn the Marine mantra too (think it's the Marines).

This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine...."

    but for Wallace..

"This is my football, there are many like it but this one is mine!" Now repeat that every time you see a football coming your way.

Ditto, and if we let him go, we better darn well find a receiver with that kind of height to be in the back of the endzone if we want to improve our pathetic red zone showing.

Burress might be around to be a good end zone tarket in the red zone. Because I betting Heath won't be ready in the 1st part of next year.

Didn't Cotchery sign a one year deal again for this past season? I don't think there is a guarantee he comes back regardless of what happens with Wallace.
If it came down to it who would you rather have Cotchery or Burress?

I hope they can keep both Wallace and Plax.

Plax will be good for Ben. Like Ben said, he's a big target and Ben can just throw it anywhere.

I'd like to see what both can do. Don't feel like we really got to see what either of them could give the team this season. I'd also be fine to let Wallace go.

I would love to see Plax back.

The problem might be in the financing. The players really effed themselves with the most recent CBA and priced a lot of the aging vets out of the game. That is why, in my opinion, Hines Ward was forced into an early retirement. We (and any team in the league) would have had to pay him something like $950k (which he obviously wasn't worth).

Plax is also a tenured vet who is going to command x amount of dollars (not sure how much -- not bothering to look it up -- anyone? Bueller?). I think, for the right price, we'll see him in Latrobe.

Thanks. I figured that's about what it was. So, do we save that money and look for another Wallace/Sanders in the draft for 1/3 of the price and distribute the extra $500k elsewhere or trust Plax can stay healthy and give us 2004 Plax?

Lets see, Plax can catch, he can block, he can catch, he fights for the ball, he can catch, he wants to be in the burgh, he can catch, hes good in the red zone, he can catch, and he doesnt think hes worth more than $10 mil a year...Did I mention he can catch?

Plex would be a number 4 receiver nothing more nothing less. Number 5
if Wallace comes back. How many balls will he get at the 4 or 5 receiver
    position. Why did Hines retire?

Ya know I totally get that! BUT it's pretty sad on just about every pass play you have the receivers looking for a PI flag weather it's warrented or not.
