Pittsburgh's Turf Monster

Something needs to be done about the playing surface at Heinz Field (Yeah, yeah...Acrisure Stadium...whatever).

it seems there have been issues with the field there from day one and the conditions Sunday were inexcusable. The field probably cost the Steelers Miles Killebrew for the season. It cost them a field goal Sunday. It could have cost them Boswell. That **** should not be happening in an NFL stadium. The stadium has been open since 2001. How have they not figured this out in all that time?

They can't even make the excuse of sharing the stadium. Pitt didn't even play at home Saturday. Aaron Rodgers expressed his displeasure after the game.

“The field,” veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers said, “got borderline unplayable.”

 

It appeared to be very dry to me

How hard is it to water

And the weather has been good for growing grass with cool nights

Grass just needs food water and sunlight

 

sure do miss the days of players playing the game instead of crying that the grass isn't greener

Let's see how well that holds up. The next time the Steelers play at home will be the day after a Pitt home game.

 

It was mentioned during the first quarter the field would be replaced this week
