Per Schefter : Steelers’ QB Kenny Pickett is not expected to miss much if any time due to the knee injury that forced him to leave Sunday’s game, per sources. Pickett could try to push this week vs. Baltimore but the team also knows it has a bye the next week and could opt to rest him.

rest him thru the bye week. IF Trubs runs this offense efficiently, we REALLY have a problem

i am not playing him Sunday, if I am MT and Co. He needs to WATCH for a week.

Tin foil hat moment. What if Kenny faked an injury to get off the field? That tackle didn’t look like anything.

What if Kennys concussions has rattled him, maybe he had some scary moments while in concussion protocol that are resurfacing. Remember he had his head bounced off the turf in game one and then the Raiders were apparently given free rein to hit him in the head repeatedly by the refs.

Kid could be rattled and seeing ghosts out there.

He is definitely seeing ghosts. At least he didn’t blow out his knee and we can see him hopefully the rest of the year before deciding on QB next year.

You might want to watch that play again. The defender was trying to make a pretzel out of KP’s leg. I’d watch it again just to confirm my recollection but the stupid play call would probably make me lose some sleep.

Interesting thought and it seems strange to me that people are at all shocked when NFL quarterbacks see "ghosts". I think it's taken for granted how easy the position comes to some guys but not others. It has to be a completely unnerving feeling to have these enormous defensive lineman crashing down all around you play after play.
It's been pointed out ad nauseam what his issues have been this year and it's not as if the coaching staff and Pickett himself can't pick up on these things through film study.
I honestly don't know that seeing ghosts can be corrected by simply pushing through it. Maybe he needs to sit and watch. Maybe he never gets over it. All I know is it can't be easy so I don't even attempt to act like I know how to fix a professional quarterback.

Ok, maybe not faking it. But he definitely looks like he is playing scared out there.

Doesn’t really look like all that much to me. I guess his weight came down on it for a second at the very end of the tackle which is why it probably wasn’t worse.

I Think it would be good for him to sit out this week and watch from the sidelines. The way this offense is now, it's not going to make any difference who starts at QB. May Pickett can learn something by watching and at the same time let his injury heel this week and the bye week.

ok. I guess I will watch it again. At least I didn’t have to watch the horrible play call from the beginning. I’m not certain what you saw but the defender completely twists KP about 270 degrees below the waist with both KP’s legs planted in the turf and then comes down on his knee with full weight. I’m surprised he won’t miss significant time. I wish Tonya Harding would put up a hit job on Matt Canada’s knee for that stupid play call

He’s definitely rattled right now for some reason. I don’t think he faked the injury, but I am starting to believe that Kenny may be a little soft for AFC North football. That may be unfair in comparison to Big Ben, who was tough as nails and would have been back out the next series. Hope he proves me wrong.

See it differently. On a scale of 1-10 thats about a 10

Obviously wasn’t that bad since its just a bone bruise.

Nick Chubb injury is the thing nightmares are made of. Kennys should have been rub some dirt on it.

Ben would have made a show of it and left on a cart and came back out to throw 5 TD’s and be talked about how heroic and tough he is on the sports shows :lolol:

Well, regardless of what is true, they should sit him; things sure aren't getting any better with him in there, need to change SOMETHING.

The craziest part is that it used to be possible for us to score multiple passing TDs in a game lol.

I watch MT to play this weekend. I think resting Pickett is smart, but I want to see a different QB in this offense. I think it will be interesting to see how much of the offensive scheme sucking is Canada and how much is Pickett. I think they're both terrible and it's a perfect storm of crap.

Its part scheme but if you watch some of the videos of KFP plays from last year to this year there is indeed a trend. He does not see the field well at all. Many times, if he does not check down or bail from pocket, receivers are open. He really sucks in zone coverage.

Canadas schemes are laughable and play calling a joke but…. KP can’t read a defense or go through his progressions fast enough.

Maybe he can see the field better than Pickett, and won't bail on a clean pocket.
