That would've been a bad pick, Jenkins had back surgery his rookie season, he hasn't done much with the Bears.

I'm sorry, I'm just so exhausted having sex with your wife all day that a spelling mistake on page 5 of my thread crept in. She says hi btw. We enjoyed launghing about how good you felt after you corrected the spelling of an internet stranger. Good job!

I agree the Steelers won't take him, but it's not because of your stupid logic. Lol, you think they pass on him at #9 if they don't have Pickett because he's an inch or 2 smaller than Cordell Stewart?

Oops, there's that spelling mistake again. Your wife is calling, gotta run!

A 5'8 qb was drafted number 1 overall and is doing just fine.

If Hendon hooker beats Georgia this weekend I'd also take him over Pickett.

I have not looked at the current stats, bit the first round Qbs taken in 2021 are hardly setting the world on fire. The results are varied of course, some guys are busts period, others are drafted into a difficult position.

I would hardly call Kyler Murray doing just fine. Definitely not fine for $230M.

True .I'm out west and Kyler is currently 25-28-1. In the Cardinals vs Rams playoffs last year, he was 0 td, 2 int and a 40.9 rating. For how good he is, he struggles winning, which may or may not be a team thing.

In the few games I've seen him in, the sample size sort've reminds me of Tee Martin.

I haven’t looked at the play of the 23 class, but I heard it’s supposed to be a stronger class than 22.

still given the **** show the offensive playcalling is this year, Steelers owe it to themselves and Pickett to give him the rest of this year and into the next year with a competent OC and QB coach. Would like to see Pickett hit the deep pass more

Is everybody going to ignore the fact KP is a pandemic away from possibly not even being in the NFL??....certainly no where close to a 1st rd pick and a 4th at best if it were not for his senior season.

The comparison AQL was making earlier was all good except for one dynamic....it didnt take Young, Shroud, or Levis 5 years to figure out their offences. All 3 of those guys practically came in hitting the ground running. I'm going to go back and look at KPs record against top competition...meaning at minimum a ranked team. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he is prob a .500 guy. This is not a question with CJ or Bryce.

You need to look at who they were playing WITH too.
Each had half of their offensive starters (excluding themselves) drafted last year, including two of their WRs. Stroud had 2 receivers, a tight end, and BOTH of his offensive tackles drafted.
Playing alongside NFL caliber talent helps too.

I did not base it on playing time/experience. I merely base it on performance & results. Even in Kenny's case, 24 is not a death sentence for a QB. Now, 25 like Hendon Hooker or even 28 like Brandon Weeden?! That is an entirely different set of circumstances at play there.

Towards your second point, CJ Stroud is 3-2 over the past two seasons against ranked opponents.. including this season. However, Ohio States disparity among top teams in 2022 is very few and far between; only playing Michigan as their last ranked opponent. Young is more different though; 8-2 over that two year span. However, Alabama played more ranked opponents than Ohio State did, which again, does give Young better overall value when compared to both Stroud and Pickett. However, here is where I draw my own line in the sand.

How many five star players is Pickett playing with?! Never mind that, sans Jordan Addison, was there anyone else Offensively that Pickett had a go to for?! Both Stroud and Young have that in spades.

Neither will have that when they enter the NFL.

I knew you guys would come with the "well look at who he played beside" comeback. I already took that into consideration and although it's a valid point he was not playing against SEC and Big Ten teams every week either. He actually ended up 4-6 against ranked opponents but he missed two ranked opponents in the pandemic season (2020 #13 Miami and #3 ND) and another when he opted out of the Peach Bowl last season. He didnt play against a single ranked team in 2021 until he got to the conference championship game and played against the next highest ranked team, outside of Pitt (#15), which was WF at #16. All I'm saying is (in both my posts) KP could be every bit the definition of fools gold. He wasnt in an elite conference, imo, and really wasnt tested consistently enough his senior season at all.

Look at his pass efficiency rating against ranked opponents...remember the rating is inflated in college football and the only game that really stands out was against Wake Forest his senior season. AQL maybe you can help me get a better grasp on college football ratings but we all know they are inflated...knowing that we can see he wasnt exactly impressive in many of his games against ranked opponents. He was mostly avg at best (9 pass TDs, 7 Ints, 1 rushing and 1 rcvg TD) with maybe a couple of standout performances in the 10 games he played. Every week in the NFL you're practically playing against a ranked opponent including the 1-5-1 Texans. I dont care if Steelers brass was looking at him every day or not. We all know how bad Steeler scouting of talent and drafting has been of late. I can't help but think Kenny is another example of that having made him a first rd selection. It was in no, way, shape, or form warranted especially considering the needs they had. It was a knee jerk move imo for a guy who hadn't shown much of anything up until his 5th year...a 5th yr that was filled with doormat opponents.

Made two pro bowls thus far and been rookie of the yr. There's 32 teams in the nfl. Everyone isn't going to be great every single yr. He's better than 90% of the nfl.

When was Josh Dobbs ever in any point in his college life the favorite to win the Heisman? Did Tennessee ever rank number 1 at any point in his tenure? Did he ever beat Alabama? Also his best season he threw for 2900 yards, 27 tds with 12 ints, and with a 63% comp pct in 8 games. Hooker in 8 games this yr is already 21 tds to 1 int, thrown for 2300 yards, and is comeplteing 71% of his passes. Lol yeah he's Josh Dobbs LMAOOOO

I would honestly compared Pickett to a taller version of Baker Mayfield or Johnny Manziel. I'd say that he's far less controversial than the other two.

He's not an immature punk like the other two, and that immaturity is a big reason why Manziel sucked and Mayfield has been such a disappointment.

Landon Dickerson was another. He's the starting C for the 7-0 Eagles. But, we got a deal on Green in the 3rd.
