Pickett Speaks About Concussion

Kenny Pickett finally talked about the concussion that kept him out last week. Turns out he thought he was fine at first, then noticed vision problems during the series that he stayed in the game. He reported them on the sideline and that is why he was put in the protocol.

I'm sure some idiots somewhere will question his toughness, but I applaud him for doing the smart thing. I still think it is likely someone screwed up that night, allowing him to return to the game with a concussion. The current protocol failed him, but luckily, he came through okay.

Also, Pickett is making the same helmet switch that Freiermuth did earlier in the season. I read elsewhere that is also why he is wearing a visor now. The design of the new helmet leaves more space unprotected, so the visor makes it less likely he gets punched in the face.

 

What is concerning is that he said the effects of this one lingered longer which isn't good. Successive concussions are not great in a short period of time. Made me starting thinking about Crosby. I would shut him down for the rest of the year to allow a long period of healing.

 

But that could affect the MT Super Bowl! 9-8 still in play…..

 

No losing seasons. That's all Tomlin and his band of bonehead fanboys have to cling to.

These dudes could go another 10 years with no playoff wins and would try to mock people questioning MT.

 

Not really. Because as I've said for about the 20th time.....I don't think of it as a Tomlin record.....I think of it as a Steelers record.....it started years before Tomlin was our HC.......Therefore I want to still win out.
I actually believe only Tomlin haters, and Tomlin lovers think of it as a Tomlin record, and the rest of us think of it as a Steeler record.
