It's somewhat a sad state of affairs to think someone of Kenny's playing ability could be the saviour of this team. Shows how desperate some of us are as a fanbase and really the organization as a whole. You wanna try and push this guy into a leadership role and he just doesnt look or act the part for me. As far as im concerned he hasn't even shown flashes in a single game he's played so far that he could be the man going frwd. Canada offense, or not, you can't show you can rise above the muck not once??? Not one breakout game??

They really should not rush him back although im more interested for selfish reasons. I would like my theory to continue to be tested that this team wouldn't win a handful of games behind Trubisky and Rudolph. It would continue to lend credence to my belief that if they had picked up a center in 2022 like they should have, instead of drafting Kenny, they would have likely been in position to get CJ the following season. Hate crying over spilled milk, but it is what it is. That being said I'm willing to wait on Shedeur.

The streak is meaningless. You get paid to play hard and win games. You don't get paid to give up when you technically are still in it. I'm talking about all NFL teams.

It's a mixed bag as to starting Kenny.

Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan are average at best as Offensive Coordinators.
They just don't have the skillset to come up with something different than the crap Canada implemented and festered for 3 years.
The play sequencing is still predictable and also makes little sense.

I'd prefer to sit Kenny and not subject him to unnecessary BS.

on the other hand, We're not adding any return value for Mason and nobody's going to give us much more than a bottlecap and maybe a bazooka Joe gum wrapper for Mitch.
    So, I don't know, flip a coin?

Well you missed the point. Tomlin will put him out there if he has a pulse in hopes of remaining “a winner”.

Damn right Pickett should play if he's able. As bad as things have looked this year, especially in the last 3 games, the Steelers were 7-4 with Pickett as the starter, and are still in the hunt for a playoff spot if they win out. Pickett gives them the best chance of winning, and to sit him out the rest of the year if he can play is like waving a white flag of surrender for the season

Two schools of thought with regards to how the rest of the season should play out. Lose out for a better draft pick and hope the whole thing is burnt to the ground and built back up for next year. This seems highly unlikely but it's undeniable that coaching changes need to be made.
The flip side is hoping that winning out with Pickett gives the team and the fans at least a glimmer of hope going into next season. At least something positive for the fans to cheer for. This can be viewed as a fool's errand though, as the offense is basically the same scheme as it's been all year.
As someone pointed out in another thread, there's pointing out what you WANT the Steelers to do and then what you think the Steelers WILL do with regards to next season. Personally, I see Austin and Tomlin staying, and a new offensive coordinator brought in. I don't see them going with Faulkner or Sullivan because they have to realize neither has the experience yet to develop a full playbook in one off-season.
They'll fill holes in the draft and get some competition for Pickett going into next year for Tomlin's final season.
Just my long winded 2 cents.

I'm of this camp. Even if they win one or two(can't see it) it will create a false sense. Smoke and Mirrors. This team is out of control and just not very good and has many issues.

I find it strange to begin with that they have 2 OC's. They say two minds are better than one, but not in this case. Save for the Cincy game under the Faulkner/Sullivan duo at OC, the offense has been even worse than with Canada

I can get on board with that thought process, problem is I just don't see Art cleaning house and I don't know that Tomlin would be ready to walk away after this season.

With the thought of all 3 QBs in the backfield together I thought - "it wouldn't matter". Then I wondered if when nothing mattered would that be antimatter? The rest was just an intuitively obvious stream of conscientiousness. :drinks:

Plus then Cole has a chance at hitting at least one of them with the snap.

So ....Am I understanding correctly....KFP will take the reps , and then they will start Mason, and people will say .....see. LoL. If KFP take the practice reps.....make Him play. If Mason is taking all the practice reps make Him play. Whomever is taking the practice time should play.

We have seen what Mason can do, which is why he was available to the entire league and no one even wanted to give him a No. 2 job.

They're still in the playoff race, so if Pickett is healthy enough to play then he should, the goal is to win games.

That team was better than this one, especially on defense. They would have been worse, but bad enough to get the No. 2 pick overall.

There's no way Pickett is 100 percent --playing him is foolish.

Yeah but TJ was injured half the season and Alex Smith and Cam Heyward completely disappeared during that stretch. I don't think that team was much better then this one. The ILB core sure wasn't and it may be hard to believe, but the OL was worse. Everything else was even to.me because it's pretty much the same players.

Even four wins would have been too many to get the No. 2 pick, which is what they would have needed to draft Stroud. They won nine games. If Pickett was really worth six victories, then they clearly made the right decision drafting him!
