First link is in regards to Tomlin and Canada, second one with Cam was a clip about Flores. The Flores one surprised me but makes a ton of sense to give your rookie QB insight into how teams will attack you in the 2 minute drill. Good on Flores for taking the initiative there.

Tomlin praise doesn’t surprise me one bit, the guy forges relationships with his players. They all love playing for him.

Canada, oh Canada, heads will explode. Convinced more than ever he is staying. I hope they at least get him help so those explosive plays Kenny says they need to work on are more likely to succeed.

I'll settle for a passing game coordinator at this point.

I guess I must be the only one who saw improvement - especially toward the end of the season? Can we just get started next season with a team that was finally starting to gel first? If nothing changes then, by all means, Canada should go. I just don't see the benefit of saddling Kenny with a brand new OC after spending the whole season with Canada.

Agree with this. Kordell Stewart had a new OC every year.... and it didn't turn out so great.

Honestly, there's nobody available that would be an improvement over Canada at this point.

Stewart also had coordinators trying to make him a pocket passer as opposed to playing to his strengths. Say what you want about him, but he was electric with the football in his hands

Not the first. I said two months ago Canada would be returning.

I agree. Stewart's OCs didn't play to his strengths. With that said, he managed to get his team further (twice @ AFCCG) than any of the latest Steelers teams since 2017.

improvement from the worst, 32nd ranking in everything - to what, 20th - 25th? playing weaker opponents later in the year too? We lucked out beating the Rats and Raiders with Immaculate QB plays from Kenny, the O SUCKED those games.

We are SO FAR from an elite offense. TJ will ROT w/o a ring, so will Minkah. We suck.

    Get used to the standard.

no such thing around here as GO BIG OR GO HOME.

This is terrible news for all those teams lined up to snatch Matt Canada up as soon as steelers cut him loose! LMAO

They improved, they can build on it. It was Canadas first year as a pro OC, whos to say he can’t learn and improve.

I would have liked to bring in an established OC with a good track record but I agree, there is something to be said for consistency.

It is what it is, no use crying over it. If it’s more of the same after next season he will be gone, no more contract.

well....and you will defend the FO at all costs, it appears....
    yeah - we all do.

mediocre is the new standard, has been so for a number of years.

afraid of risk and change, all in the name of 'stability'.

Just going to leave this here.

I hope Canada can improve but I have little faith he can.

My head is not exactly exploding, but I would prefer a better OC. If you subscribe to NFL+ and take the time to watch the All 22, you’ll some clear deficiencies. Route combinations that repeat over and over. Route combinations that frequently bring receivers into close enough proximity that the defenders can effectively join a pass defense on another defender’s guy. Things like that. I remember after the loss to Baltimore, Queen saying that he was in position to make his interception (Trubisky’s 2nd that game) because of our tendency to almost always have Freiermuth run a particular route from a particular spot where he lined up. Some of our offensive challenges were on players, especially blocking and QB play. However, I feel strongly that Canada’s play design and play calling contributed to the lack of scoring. Did it get better towards the end of the season? Yeah, but not that much. We still ended up scoring in the teens way too often against teams that gave up 20+ per game. Canada was not an innocent bystander while that was happening.
