If Tomlin is serious about doing things different I imagine we will see Pickens on the bench. At least for a little bit if not the whole game.

Make him inactive for the rest of the season. I would probably do the same to Muth. If they’re going to play half-assed football they might as well learn now what that gets them

They need a fire sale and a true rebuilding big time after this year...This team is toxic at this point.Need change from the top to the bottom and it includes Tomlin

Let's face it, Pickens is beginning to look like another bust ala Claypool. Maybe we can get another 2nd round pick from the Bears for him?

I think that Pickens would be great in a normal NFL offense

He's clearly trying to force his way out and make sure he stays healthy until it happens. Plain as day.

He'd be a superstar on a team with a functioning offense. He's not the problem, the dummies in charge are.

Quit making up dumb crap. He had the same issues at UGA. He’s super talented, but very immature

I wonder if Jim Harbaugh would come here?
I know there's the screaming for Black coaches, I am more into competent coach regardless of color.

But a guy like Jim is having no part of those half-@ssed antics.

I never understood that. He did want total control... but he coached the heck out of that team.
    With a crap QB.

But I agree... I'm just looking at the discipline.
Currently, I have no front runner.

I was thinking the same thing about he is just trying to keep from getting injured until he can move on to a team that runs a pro offense. But half assing it out on the field can get you injured too.

Yea, I definitely can see him requesting a trade after a new OC is hired.

From what I’ve read harbough didn’t get along with either the gm or ceo. They had a very contentious relationship

LOL at the thought of Harbaugh. That's not the Steelers' or Rooney's MO.

Our next coach will be an up and coming, mid to late 30's NFL defensive assistant.

Would be an awful mistake. They have to stop living in the past. It’s an offensive league, start there in your search.

If what he did at UGA is true, playing less than 100%, this is even worse. Why would we draft him if this was known about him? Why wasn't this corrected once he was drafted? Seems this is a reoccurring scenario with some of our picks. JMO>

I equate his name to those that cheat. Maybe he'd be great in NE. JMO>

Agree. I think it's obvious that he wants to be seen loafing as it will expedite his wish.

I’d take Forrest Gump over Mike Tomlin.

These guys need a hard nosed, no nonsense coach that will bench you for not giving 100%.
Get a coach with more attitude then the players and watch the culture change

Obviously you hope the person will mature. Draft picks are not a finished product. You draft them hoping they will develop into long term contributors. Some are up to the task at hand and some aren’t. Chase Claypoole is a perfect example. All the talent in the world, but despite the fact he’s been traded multiple times he’s placing blame on everyone else.
