Pickens to the Raiders?

After the Bryant and AB trades I don't think the raiders are likely to trade for any Steeler receivers.

 

I`m sure Pickens dreams about going to a team with an elite QB and he gets a lot of throws his way (and gets a chance to earn top NFL receiver pay).

A lot of people think Pickens is an elite wr, the numbers tell a different story.
But, keeping with today’s storyline, his ceiling is high!

 

What would be a realistic return for him a second and a 5th round this year?

Teams know all about Pickens mentality or the lack of. No way you get a 2 rd pick… wait a minute, we got a 2nd for Claypool, so anything is possible

Pickens is half the head case Bryant was and 1/8 the head case Mr.Big Chest was. I bet they could easily get a third for him. If you could move him to the Giants for a fourth and a swap of first rounders in 2026, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
If the Steelers end up with both Pickens and Errant Rogers, they will need a team of psychiatrists….and that’s just for the fans.

 

Some of the catch's show unbelievable. that he has had really no QB and was often the only one on the field with talent (and thus double teamed) can in some ways explain those numbers.

The attitude, taking plays off or just quitting on plays can also in some ways explain those numbers.

Bottom line what are the Steelers (or another team) willing to invest to see how it all plays out? For me (and it is not my money) I would pull the plug and get as much draft capitol as possible, you may regret it, but then again regret it if you do.

 

And the Steelers would be back in the same position they were last year with only one big time WR.
