Is there anyone right now who would trade a third round pick on a one year rental on Pickens

Some team will overpay Pickens next spring

I wanted to see what the offense would like with Metcalf and Pickens, but you need to let it go dude the coaches and his teammates wanted Pickens gone.

we're whinging over 25 yards a game and 1 additonal TD for Pickens (in 1 more game played). DK has been good for us. With how our team has gone, I would imagine it would be difficult to see a world where Pickens would be much better if he was in DK's spot. He certainly wouldn't be putting up the numbers here in Pitt if he was here alongside DK.

I don't disagree... I told you my preference was to keep GP and let him walk in favor of a less volatile (and cheaper) WR2... However, the Pickens trade had less to do with who he is as a player and more to do with who he is as a person. It is what it is. We weren't signing him long term regardless (and I think that is a very safe play). Plus, we don't know how the Rodgers/Pickens thing would've transpired too. How would GP handle getting yelled at by Aaron for making a mistake, or loafing another route (something he was pretty prone to do)? Would he have handled it like a pro? Or would he have simply crashed out like he has before? I totally understand where you're coming from, but I think you've lost quite a bit of hair malding over disagreeing with the trade. There's too much we don't know (with regards to how it would have gone) and there's still a good amount of football (and an entire offseason after the year) to figure out the WR2 thing. Deep breaths.
