He’s going to get some more fines after yesterday.

Tired of this guys whining. Ref blew the call but they didn’t make you fumble either. Stfu.

yep - his TO was a significant part of the loss yesterday

EDIT - and I like him, he is an INCREDIBLE talent, I just wonder if he can tamp it down and not TAKE us down ?

Not only was it a fumble which led to a quick Bills TD, but it was a fumble that looked to just fall out of his hands. Gotta secure that ball.

i am guessing in the playoffs, when the TO differential is 2+, you lose 95% of those games

that is really all we need to say.

SLOPPY again on offense in the post season.

new players, same results - same HC.

You get what you pay for. Stop drafting guys with character issues.

Remember when Pickens got drafted? Remember him standing in front of the TV like a serial killer with his shirt pulled over his head?

Yinz thought it was cute! :lolol:

He let the ball go to avoid a face plant on the ground, LOL.

With a helmet on and shoulder pads, LOL. Pickens is a total fair weather player, when everything is going great he's all smiles the first adversity it's all throwing toys out of the crib.

Those guys need to be managed. Think Cam Newton, Tyrann Mathieu, Randy Moss even Burfict. Hell the Bengals built a playoff team full of players with character issues. Recently, it’s Joe Mixon, Jaylen Carter, Micah Parson…

Tomlin loves WRs with giant egos, and that is saying something given the nature of the position.

Pickens ain't gonna change anytime soon. I would deal him right now.

I think the head covering is called a balaclava. And I don’t think George is cute.

I understand that WRs can be more problematic, but think we have had a disproportionate share of them. It seems to suggest that we reach for talented players who may have some character flaws.

It’s interesting to go back and look at our history of trading away WRs -

    Chase Claypool
    Martavis Bryant
    Antonio Brown
    Santonio Holmes

Having said all that, I also wrestle with the other side of the coin, understanding we have had some very talented WR corps, beginning with the early 2000’s.

This. We've had many receivers that became cancers (just can't place my finger on the common thread), but they had years of production before doing so. Pickens has talent, but is already a cancer before doing much.

You want a great comparison in class vs. Classlessness? Look at how Puka Nacua responded to a pass interference not being called on him that cemented their defeat (and this is a guy that gets open.... a LOT. Hence many targets). So yes.... guys don't go from being a cancer to NOT being a cancer very often. They just usually make their money first. I wouldn't let this metastasize another year, talent or no talent.

Well when the players have no discipline from coaches these players act out.

Greg Lloyd was a fkn monster and Cowher kept him in a box.

Tou don’t have a team full of vets to get these guys on the right road, as coaches that is part of your job. But Tomlin runs this team like a free for all so that’s what you get.

Ramon Foster talked about this a couple weeks ago. Basically said the only way to get through to some of the players is to hit them fines. The players Union can’t say crap about it as it falls under the category of conduct detrimental to the team. Also said he had seen 6 figure fine for players, but didn’t mention names

Spot on man. Only way now is with playing time or team fines. The former impacts their ability to obtain the next big contract. The latter hits them right away. I just cannot fathom a player coming out and saying the team needs more discipline and the Owner saying yep we are bringing this head coach back after witnessing said examples of Pickens and DJ and several other examples in years past with this head Coach. It's mind boggling to me!

    It’s every team

There are only 7 rounds to the draft and 32 teams

On average there are 35 wide receivers drafted every year

Teams are desperate for wide receivers

Wide receivers are only second to cornerbacks which average 36 per year

Hey, you gals and guys that are working. If someone is causing an issue constantly and after going through the chain of command steps who gets the issue fixed. In this case the coach. He has side stepping this type of issue for years. Afraid of conflict. And again I say Rooney is in the same boat. Not getting rid of MT.
