I'm not seeing the same stats you are? (edit: I'm getting my stats from Pro Football Reference, which I use extensively due to them seemingly being good)

He appears to be 19th among WR's in receptions (30th among all players), 9th in yards (WR's and all players), 12th in YPR and 11th in YPG. He's done this while only being targeted 65 times (19th among WR's) so his production has surpassed his usage... We also have to remember he's doing this on a team that has attempted the 3rd least amount of passes in the league and completed the fewest passes in the league...

He hasn't been a top 5 WR, but he's performed quite well given the circumstances around him. He's probably due a contract in the 28-30 million a year range. He's certainly worth the money IMO, as WR salaries are getting insane. I'd expect us to pay him.

    Thank you

I also got mine from PFR but apparently 2023

    I stand corrected

So for this year currently 9th in yards 29th in receptions and 69th in touchdowns

    How exciting yawn

And keep in mind from a different post it was agreed it’s points that matter not yards

Its all good, it happens. Also, I believe that its S.T.D that only cares about points, but that isn't me. I think all stats are relevant. The team cant score if we don't get receptions and yards, and I don't care who scores as long as it is the Steelers putting points on the board.

I think that 9th in yards, 19th in receptions, 11th in YPG, and 12th in YPR is reasonably good considering that the Steelers throw the ball less than every team but two, and have completed the least amount of passes of any team in the NFL this year. We're primarily a running team, yet GP is putting up numbers that would put him around the top 10-12 performers at his position overall... I'm a bit less worried about the TD thing because he's been unlucky with 2 TD's overturned via penalty and one via replay on a weird one. The TD's will come eventually.

He's a really good player whether you want to admit it or not. He is a similar style player to AJ Brown, but in the body type of Ochocinco. He can win deep, he can beat you with YAC, and he's about as good a contested ball receiver as anyone in the league. I certainly don't want to go back to the drawing board at WR. Sure, he seems to be someone we have to keep in line, but we pay Mike Tomlin a hell of a lot of money to deal with kids like GP and he's supposedly really good at it?

The 10th WR in terms of salary makes 26.7 million a year, and 5-10 looks like the chart below. Hill, Adams, and Kupp have older contracts, Aiyuk is a pretty comparable level player, and GP is better than Waddle and Moore. I would be surprised with a contract under 30 million a year and I think he is worth it. We just have to make sure we put a #2 next to him that can keep the doubles off him as much as we can. NFL defenses treat him like a true stud #1, and if we get someone next to him who can ease that burden, it will do nothing but help him perform.

    Tyreek Hill - 30.0/yr
    Brandon Aiyuk - 30.0/yr
    Jaylen Waddle - 28.25/yr
    Devante Adams - 28.0/yr
    DJ Moore - 27.25/yr
    Cooper Kupp - 26.7/yr
