Right on, man. My wife bought me the black and gold one and I built the Frankenstrat myself. That was a fun project.

We've had plenty of hits as well. I don't mind calling Tomlin out when it's deserved, but a few around here blame him for everything. And it honestly has little to do with Tomlin. Just more of a need for people to be objective when having a discussion.

    Umm..

I did say the talent was there. I questioned the consistency of said talent and effort. Glad I was proven wrong in both regards.

I'm warming up to the pick, which I hated at the time. He is showing the consistent effort that wasn't there in college.

And, with these misses ... we are still in search of players ... for those exact positions.

One, I think the effort concerns was overblown and two, wasn’t concerned even if effort was spotty when you have Cam and TJ in the locker room. That **** never would fly.

As you said, talent was there, was very happy when they called his name.

    So again..

I am happy to have been proven wrong. I still stand by my pre draft grade on him. You should know by now that what a player could become is a lot different than what a player is coming out.

He’s played exactly 5 games in the nfl and he’s being wasted? Should they just throw the ball to Pickens 60 times a game and see what happens?

L Bell self sabotaged his career by holding out then going to the Jets who were offensively inept. After the first season with the Jets he was washed.

A Brown would have been fine elsewhere he won a SB but lost his mind in the process.

Too bad Cam and TJs great leadership doesn’t rub off on the rest of the players besides Leal.

I don't think the issue is leadership or lack there of. I think the issue is simply lack of talent. Outside of Cam, Ogunjobi and Leal, there isn't much talent on the DL. Guys like Wormly have their attributes, for sure. I'd like to see more Loudermilk. But the problem is a guy like Alualu just isn't who he was before his injury. It happens, he's on the wrong side of 30. Adams is an ok run stopper whom I'd like to see get more reps as well. When looking at Edge, it's a lack of depth issue as well. Highsmith is an above average talent, but after him it's simply a steep drop-off. We don't have a true #1 CB when all three guys are healthy. I think all three CBs would be quality #2's/slot guys. Then regardless of how average/below average Edmunds is, the drop-off between him and Norwood is very noticeable. Then there's Bush and Jack at ILB. Bush is meh that needs to sit, but there's nothing behind him worth playing, and Jack is above average.

As for Cam, this may sound crazy to all... But I'm not opposed to trading him at the deadline for draft capital. He's not a part of the future here in Pittsburgh, and guys like Watt, Jack & Minkah can fill those leadership shoes. I don't think you can get much for Cam, but the guy just may not be on the roster in 23 anyways. Send him to a contender and hope he gets a ring.

Like I said...we can give excuses, but what have they done since they left??? Brown was on a SB team. Tampa Bay scored 58 tds that year....Brown scored 4 of them.....I think they could have won without that contribution.

Agree but Tomlin says he has he hands on everything defense, offense, play calling, player developing etc. So he should get most of the blame. I think he gets more blame here but not the national media. But they don't follow him as much as we do here on this board. I still believe and national media dose not see is how No. 7 carried him for years. IF not for No. 7 we would have seen his faults at lot sooner. Agree he gets crucified here by some on every issue, but most is justified.

I said if he didn’t lose his mind. He wanted to play with a leather helmet when he went to the Raiders. He had already lost his mind.

    Ok

I’ll go with the list kind part

But don’t you think he lost that while still in Pittsburgh

Yea when he got suspended that last game and showed up in the mink coat or whatever he was mentally gone.

I really do wonder if that shot from Burefict gave him CTE or something. Dude is clearly emotionally unstable. I mean he could just be a pre Madonna but man he’s really out there.
