To be clear, I'm NOT arguing for the Steelers to pick up Dwayne Haskins. I've seen some chatter among fans talking about him as a possible reclamation project. I'm not a fan. He has been terrible on the field and stupid off it.

He is subject to waivers claim right? only two years vested so a lot of teams have pass on him before the Steelers can even contemplate putting in a claim.

Yeah, I floated this idea. When they pulled him yesterday I said to my friend that’s it, he’s done in Washington. Cut him less than 24 hours after that.

I wasn’t aware of any off field issues which obviously they don’t need but doesn’t matter, he’s worse than I even thought when I mentioned him a few weeks ago. Not sure a new start will change anything.

There's not much evidence to suggest he'll knuckle down and become a good player in the future. Avoid.

If Paxton Lynch made our practice squad then Haskins can.

Your team would be better off saying no to the guy. He just doesn’t have what it takes IMO

Haskins only started one season in college. He wasn't NFL ready skill wise or maturity wise but Snyder forced him on the team and coaches. The whole thing was a mess from day one.

No way they pick up his guaranteed contract. Take Duck's job on the Practice squad this year? Doubtful.

    ........

So let us invite a guy who could have potentially caused Ron Rivera with his life for being a solo act!!!! A brilliant plan!!!

While I agree strip clubs are essential businesses. You got to wear the mask. The mask provides a sure fire protection, from cameras clearly identifying you.

My buddy who is a WFT fan says he doesn’t study the playbook or watch film. Apparently he studies anatomy and watches dancing.

Really, even before typing any of that, I’m at a no.

But I’m sure there will be those who say sign him, sign everyone.

Was overrated coming out of college
Didn't stay in college long enough.
    Questionable work ethic.
    Questionable off the field choices.
Didn't show any flashes of greatness while in Washington.

    Why would you want him?

who was the last OSU QB that actually succeeded in the NFL? they run a QB system at OSU that doesn't translate well to the pros.

15th overall pick in the 2019 draft

Has to have more upside at QB than Mason or Dobbs

    Why not?
