PFF graded Pickett higher than Rudolph

They do watch the games, but sometimes their interpretation of what they see is comically bad.

PFF has ZERO credibility as far as I’m concerned.

I like Mason and I would like to see him re-signed and given a fair opportunity to compete with Kenny for the starting job next season. I think the Steelers can win a lot of games with Mason as the starter if he has a strong surrounding cast. I’m really concerned about Pickett’s capacity to develop into a quality NFL starter at this point. His durability is suspect and his football intellect appears to be sub-par given his pre-draft testing and on-field performance.

 

PFF stats remind me of old adage. There are lies, dam lies , and statistics. Take it with a grain of salt as far as PFF ratings go. Their ratings should have a disclaimer. Don't let your eyes deceive you. It was obvious Mason was better than Pickett. Offense gained more yards and points. Dont give a dam what PFF says. I want either a new solid veteran starter or Mason and let Pickett back up either.

 

According to PFF I have never made a mistake at QB in the NFL. My rating is looking pretty good

 

Pickett just finished his second season. At the same point in Rudolph's career, he was being benched for Duck Hodges, who was cut that offseason and never played in the league again.

 

If the reports are correct, Kenny Pickett was a hair’s breadth away from being benched for Mitchell Trubisky after the Browns game. Instead they fired Canada. He played better in the Bengals game but could only muster 16 points. And then he was back to his same habits in the Cards game before he got hurt. Young quarterbacks struggle so we’ll see where he goes from here. It will be very disappointing if Tomlin and company don’t bring in some legitimate competition (NOT Dobbs or Minshew) for Pickett. I hope it’s Rudolph.
