Peter King Announces Retirement After 44 Years

I thought I saw this coming when I was watching his video from December explaining why he was voting for Myles to win DPOY, when the season was weeks from being over.

He was calling the season early, so it makes since that he would retire after that.

 

with everything on social media and the dilution of 'journalism', its hard to explain how much his writing meant in its hey day. Even before that there was so little to get a hold of, things like his was a lifeline to inside the NFL.

 

He loved the Steelers in the past, If you were a long time SI reader like most of us
were growing up he gave us some insight we could not get. Things have changed for the worse
with misinformation running rampant.

 

I believe it was the 08 season and he was on someone's radio show. When asked which team he thought was a SB fave he said the Steelers, he mentioned training camp and said these guys (vets) are ready and mean business.

 

This...the last Year We went to the SB he called it during the preseason. I remember

 

I don't know if anyone else here read the blog Kissing Suzy Kolber back in the day, but I was a huge fan. They would deconstruct Peter King's Monday Morning QB column in hilarious fashion.
