Personal Fouls

I know it's not the "proper" thinking, but in an instance such as what happened last night where Thomas scored the TD, would it behoove the would be tackler to do an illegal tackle such as a horse collar or face mask? I know that's playing dirty, but if you are the last line of defense doesn't that beat the alternative? Not saying this would have changed the outcome, just a little discussion point I guess.

Problem is that Ike couldnt catch him in order to horse collar.

 

Maybe Ike could have fallen and gotten Thomas' fingers hooked in his face mask during the stiff arm and got an offensive face mask call? Pathetic.

 

I honestly think though if we won somehow even if lets say Ike or Mundy makes the tacklet, hold to FG and we win. That the confidence level of our Defence wud of been too low to compete with Pats.

 

I was SCREAMING at the T.V. for them to horsecollar him. But I agree - he couldn't get there. Better to take the 1/2 the distance to the goal than to give up the TD right away.

 

if a horsecollar tackle would have happened and we won, roger would have gave our whole team a 3 game suspension starting next week.lol
